Hi!

A friend of mine got some strange error messages, whenever he tries to start 'IL-2 Mat Manager' or the UBI software 'Game Shadow':

After those messages the programs shut down.

It first seemed to be a MS Office (Outlook/Access) Problem (thats what we found out googling for it). He re-registered some of the DLLs, that belonged to that MS stuff, like told in the solution description - but nothing helped.

So please has anyone an idea what may help?
IL-2 Mat Manager is a real nice piece of software and I don't want my friend to miss that.

I don't know his system specs, at least he uses Windows XP. Maybe I can tell later, if needed.

Thanks!

Looks like you're using an earlier version. Download version 2.20 and see how you go from there

Hi guys,

I've only ever had one report of this in the past. The chap kindly posted back that he had solved the problem by downloading and running the following file from Microsoft.

Below is the information from my FAQ on my website including a link to the page on Microsoft's website containing the download link.

"Rare 429 Errors with IL2-MAT Manager.

This isn't really a frequently asked question as it has only occured once however an IL2-MAT Manager user recently reported experiencing 429 errors when running IL2-MAT Manager. He kindly reported that he fixed the problem by downloading and running the Windowsâ® Script 5.6 for Windowsâ® 2000 and XP available from Microsoftâ®. Below is a link to information on the download on their Download Centre website.

Windows Script 5.6 for Windows 2000 and XP. (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=C717D943-7E4B-4622-86EB-95A22B832CAA&displaylang=en)

I'd recommend that you only download and install this script if you are experiencing 429 errors when launching or running IL2-MAT Manager. As previously stated, from my experience, 429 errors are extremely rare."

Hope this helps, please note this FAQ item pre-dates the release of v2.20 and is not specific to this version.

Regards

Aces

First, sorry to highjack the thread a little.

Second, Aces very nice utility you have made, is sad that you don't work at 1C http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif, you, Jiri (with his Hyperlobby), and Uberdaemon (with his UQMG).

My question: Could it be posible to put all files contained in "CoopRegt" folder in a archive and then be mapped to the program to be read in some sort of raw mode? A friend of mine that is some programer said to me that could be posible, my self is completely deprived of programing skills http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif . This way the file system could be eased a little and the antivirus programs will ease up too (if you hide the archive well, I think).

Best regards.

Hi EJGrOst_Caspar,

I'm pleased that did the trick, have fun mate http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Hi zaelu,

I see your point, it's something that Grat (the programmer) and I have discussed before and may well happen in a future version.

Best Regards all
