Thanks guys! You can't imagine what a blessing this will be to a one-handed mission-builder http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Maybe I missed it but it would be nice to be able to download the "how to use" article instead of just reading it on site.

Ok I see there is some confusion about what this is so well I'll just paste the readme here:

Tool for cloning groups of stationary objects in IL2FB's Full Mission Builder.

I found adjusting 100's of object in a mission extremely time-consuming so I wrote this app to speed things up a bit (at the time, I couldn't find any app that exactly did what I wanted).

It simply goes through a mission-file (.mis) and scans it for key-objects (v1-ground) and replaces those with a pre-defined group of objects, for example a group of tanks or a AAA-nest.

A pre-defined object group - Set:
An object-group is simply a mission-file that only contains the objects you wish to be in your set.
The objects should be placed around the x=10000m/y=10000m coordinates. Those coordinates are located in the map's lower left corner, 10 km up and 10 km right. This will be the center of your group. If your group have a direction, aim it to the right.

The mission-file; where you want to place object-groups:
Where you wish to place groups you place a 'v1-ground' object (Rocket cathegory) and point it where you want. Save the mission and alt-tab to windows.
Run Groupcloner:
1. Open your set.
2. Open your mission.
3. Save the mission (optionally chose a new filename for safety.)

* Note: If you now open the .mis file in notepad it looks a bit different than normal, but IL2FB will still treat it as a normal .mis-file.

Reopen the mission in FMB! Voila!

The idea is not mine, but thought it sounded good.
I made this app for personal use, and got good feedback from friends who tried it.
I'm not a professional programmer by very far so this little app is likely to have imperfections/bugs. In that case please mail me at neo(AT)flygflottilj16.se and describe the error(s).
I'm not likely to fix small glitches since it works good enough for my personal needs. But hey commented source included - DIY http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif.

Free to distribute, mod, whatever. But not for commercial use.
VB6-source included.
