Hi all,

Best Regards,

I should say so! Along with some of the other surviving BoB pilots he's on the box every time there is a Spitfire or BoB programme. Also gets a mention in quite a lot of the recent BoB books.

Ran for President against Bill clinton?

John Doe would not be correct for BoB. It would have to be Joe Bloggs (or Jozef von Blogg). http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Yes, but that was before the unfortunate incident with the Rottweiler. John is now commonly known as Jane. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

There's an interesting story about Bob Doe in 'The most dangerous enemy.'

Bob used to run a small garage and it wasn't until he actually appeared on a documentary about the BoB that anyone in his village really knew that he'd flown Spitfires during the war.

The book is an excellent read and this story (and one for Mr Sanders) nicely tops it off.

Such a modest man, shot down 2 Me110's in the Battle Of Britain on his first sortie thru total luck, so he says.

The first he just 'found' in front of his Spitfire, he took a quick shot and was astounded when it turned onto its back and fell down into the sea.

Another 110 saw this and chased him, fired, but missed, and overshot. Bob 'settled' onto his tail (I'd love to see anyone do this in the game behind a 110's rear gunner, the moment I do any sort of 'settling' behind a 110 online I am dead meat! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif) and shot him down too.

2xMe110 with 8x303 on his first sortie, if the guns are about the same as they are in the game vs a 110 then his score is amazing.

Amazing man, so humble and no ego. I would love to meet him.
