I was just wondering what the requirements are for a thread to become a featured topic. If you have no idea what a featured topic is it is the thread that is on top with a little red exclamation point next to it and it has the title in bold.

If the moderators decide that the topic is a good one and want more people to participate in it. Some of them are really interesting/ helpful/ etc. and they will get chosen. It has NOTHING to do with who posted it or anything like that. That is usually how it is decided on most forums.

I usually try to choose a few posts every now and then to feature. The ones I have picked in the past have been ones that really stood out or were really helpful. I try not to feature a lot of the same person's posts because I know how people get really upset and think it's not fair. I also won't post a thread if I think it's a copy-cat type thread. I don't want to person who posted it first to get upset!
