Strange.
When I land my Bf-109 I see the slats opening before touch-down but when I look at my recording they stay closed? Never noticed it before.
Anyone?

Tracks do not show control surfaces movements...

that's true, also if you start a track with rads full open, they stay the same all track even if you close them

there are two types of files formats to record in. One shows it, the other does not, that is just one of the differences..

In summary..

*.trk files are inputs to the FM
*.ntrk files are outputs to the FM

Which is why *.ntrk's are backwards compatible, all the calcs have already been done, and *.trk files have to be played back on the same version of the game

TRK files are off-line recordings.. Playing on your ace.

NTRK are on-line recordings.. Playing on the internet.

You'll find these in the 'RECORDS' folder of the game folder.

I think the control surfaces are not shown so somebody cannot see what the other did, via watching a record of an engagement. I think this was the original idea behind this.

Check in the in-game 'control' settings for recording options. It's there amongst the thousand other settings. The same key/joystick/mouse button works for both off-line and on-line recordings.
