Looks pretty good for a 3rd party add-on. wing sweep acts a little flaky though but I can't complain, it's the only Tomcat since USNF!

I played with it for awhile then deleted it. Something's just not right about it.

Yeah, SF is extremely good.

There's lots of really good planes now available. The F-8 Crusader and FJ-3 Fury as great.

With the three patches, most of the bugs have been worked out.

In may ways, SF far surpasses IL2 in realism. The depth perspective is awesome. You really get feel of the distances and altitudes.

I'm sorry to spoil the fun but, I think SF project 1 was a waist of money. Unless they seriously change the FM's and AI, this game is not worthy to take any of my harddisk space (even on my 200GB maxtor) For some very strange reason, I couldn't find any buttons for trimming. The terrain is boring enough and the missions are not really immersive.

I don't think the terrain is all that bad. The ground textures are certainly no worse than in FB. The same map does get a little old. And there are no 3D clounds, but that's ok. Depth perception is way better than in FB, IMO. And in "Hard" (full real), it's infinitely harder than FB. The game isn't anywhere near the resource hog FB is. I think the IA are better. They can't see behind themselves. You get on the 6 of an IA, and you can stay there all day - unless he's already trying to get you. And the most important thing about SF is that it's NOT FB or Lock-On.

And if that weren't enough, there's a Crusader for SF http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Scale is off in that game. Everything is too small relative to my cockpit. Cloud cover is WAY too high on overcast days.

And the view limit for tir is unnatural. Its like lock-ons: you look over your shoulder and the limiter pushes your view upwards. Ick.

I want to like it because of its architecture, but i just cant get into it.
