She's just a little older than I like, but she's maintained herself well.

Born in 1947, you'd think she'd be to old for me by 23yrs, but I can't help myself.
I'm in love with a 1947 Harley Davidson Knucklehead.....
with 5 miles on the Odometer.
5 stinking miles.
they paid $85,000 for her.

*sigh*

Lets see..I'm going to take a chance, cause you ssaid tube instead of subway, your English.
That means she's trapped on the Island with you...How many people can you squeeze on a floating piece of dirt.
You'll see her again.

And since you hate me I took the liberty of sending this thread to your girlfriend so next time you see that lady you'll be free to pursue her.
You can thank me later. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

I know what you are going threw. For I to suffered the same. Unlike your love, mine, I found in a chicken coop, covered head to toe with chicken sh%t. Even with that, I could see her beauty. I begged her father (the farmer) for her. He refused all my claim's for her. I left, but soon returned with whisky, and beer, the farmer was feeling no pain. That night I took her home, ($800.)started cleaning, and caresing, her delicate line's. What emerged was a beautifull 1956 FLH panhead hard tail, buckhorn handel, horsehide bag's, hand shift on her left tank. I promised her I would never leave her. Two kid's later, she was sold at wife's insistence. Or should I say ex-wife. They are both gone now, but I will never forget those 12 year's of really good time's, she was quite a bike, and I still love her

yes ....I'd love to have a 'Knuck' also.... any year will do
I had a Honda Shadow 600cc. (called a 'Steed' here in thailand) for 9 years and dressed it like a knucklehead.....crashbars and cut down windshield from my friend's Fat-Boy, natural leather saddle-bags I made myself, I even made a Harley style rear-stand which was also very useful as many choppers do not come with a dual center stand nowadays, so it was easier for wheel/tyre work and washing

anyone want to see ...I'll scan a pic in and put it up

and 'slipball' has another one of those 'barn bike' stories..... classic all of them ...especially when they are true

How about this for pain,my father sold a '38 Indian Chief,w/ hi-compression '39 heads,rather than pass it on to me-same with a '29 Ford model A(restored to original),a '55 Chevy 2 dr. hdtp.,and a '61 Olds 98 Holiday Coupe (W/325 hp engine).

I'm just glad he didn't buy/sell the Taylorcraft he had wood for-if he'd have sold that out from under me,that might have been more than I could take.
