Nice shots. That B-25 is one of the first ones built I think (note that it is an early model) and I THINK it was Hap Arnold's transport for a while.....I think.

On Saturday, My father and I took a cruise on the liberty ship John W Brown wich is here in Portland for the week. Midway through the cruise we were "attacked" by a Val dive bomber that had been built to film the movie Tora Tora Tora and Yak 52 stunt trainer that had been painted to look like a Zero. After several low level passes the were 'Chased off" by the P47 and P40 in woofiedogs pics. The B25 then made several low passes by the ship.If you ever get the chance to take one of these " Live history cruises on the Brown I highly recomend it!

Enforcer572005... the B-25 at the show was the Hap Arold. Found this info on the Bird.

Quote... The B-25 was accepted by the US Army in February 1941. One of the first B-25s ever built was modified into General Henry H. "Hap" Arnold's personal transport. This particular aircraft is still airworthy today, carrying the US civil registration number N2825B. It was also owned by Howard Hughes at one time.

BillyTheKid_22... Hello and Great shot of the Jeep... I have some more of the vehicles that I'll post.

-HH- Beebop... LoL as soon as I saw that Classic piece of Military Hardware I could see that Oleg's Team had it modeled correctly in the game accept for leaving out the M-1 side arm! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Low_Flyer_MkVb... Stop by and I'll buy the first round!

Taylortony... Yes there is a brake on the rear tire axel... American version. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

Waldo.Pepper... I'll have to checkout this site a little later on and see what's there. Thank's for the Heads up.

JV44_Wubke... I really like to go on board and see one of the Liberty Ships... they didn't do a Tora Tora Show. But they did some Very Nice aerobatic's with the P-40 and the Corsair. Plus some Group flying with the F4U/F-18, F-86/F-16 and also some formation flying with all the Bird's up in the air P-40, P-47, Avenger, and B-25.

jensenpark... it was a Real Treat seeing the P-47 up in the air. You could see that it wanted to climb and eat up some air as it went along.

Again Thank's for the reply's and I'll have a few more snap shot a bit later today. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

Ah the deuce and a half. Great truck. My uncle drove supply for Patton in Italy. Twice he was stopped by forward scouts and told he was in enemy territory. Patton loved him because his convoys kept up with the forward troops. He told stories of being strafed by 109's and other harrowing tales. He also learned to do major engine/transmission/suspension work in total darkness. "Nobody else was going to fix it. Your other chocie was to be captured."

Interesting note...my uncle said when watching war movies that two things were always wrong with them.
1, The star/serials was always mudded out or even taken off. "Last thing you wanted was a highly visible white target on the truck."
2, Windshields were folded down (GMC trucks) or glass removed and side windows rolled down (Dodge) as they would reflect any light day or night. Driving with lights on was a luxury in the rear areas. He hated New Moon nights as there was never any ambient light to see with. "You just had to feel your way along." Most drivers wore motorcycle goggles to drive. And yes, "It was dam cold in the winter and dam wet the rest of the time."

Thanks for the additional pics woofiedog! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Yes the "C-5" does look like an overgrown Great White now that you mention it! LoL

I was talking to the Sergeant of the Rocket/Artillery Unit up from Chattanoga, Tennessee and the C-17 displayed at the show had flown them and their equipment up.
