View Full Version : Request for Ship Dammage (please read Oleg I think its a good compromise)

I will not ask for them to be esier to sink, But this three featurs would make Anti-ship missions more apelaing:

1) - credit for damaging ships even if they don´t sink. (points or something)

2) Feature in the FMB to have ships damage in various degrees ej. 25% 50% 75 %. So we can start missions with ships allready dmaged.

3) More a request for Starshoy (I think):
have dammage on ships carry over to the next mission. I suppose that request number two is needed for Starshoy to be able to do this in Dgen and Ngen.

Rigth Now its very frsutrating to flay antiship missions since ussually an attack group in PF consists in 6 to 9 aircrafts, and if severam don´t hit in the exact same spot on the ship, the ship does not sink, so All bombers go back home with nothing to show (no points, no acomlishmenta at all), even thow we fly a perfect mission scoring hits on ships and all.

Please consider thsi petition Oleg.

Thanks a lot and thanks for PF!

These are great ideas.

The previously damaged ships really shouldn't be hard since all the damage models already exist.

You have my vote http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

At least Point 1 should be easy to implement, at the moment it is annoying that only the pilot that scores the last hit get points for the ship, while the other pilots that hit the ship earlier get no reward.

Yes, implementing the damage to carry over from mission to mission I guess would be tricky.

http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gifBut these would be good features me thinks, also if a number of bombers sank a big ship taking multiple hits...
The points should be shared I think, it would also be nice if points for airkills could be shared according to how much damage each attacker inflicted.... but that might be another matter http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Yes, I was dissappointed to see that damage (especially severe damage) didn`t carry over with perhaps a minor repair to the ship...

Agree with this, very important for offline players.

Here is what bugs me about the ships DM:

you see so many photos of ship strafing, you esp cargo type vessels in history books.

But you can strafe the dry and liquid cargo ships to your hearts content with any gun and you will not make a mark or start a fire.

please please give us some realistic damage models on cargo ships

Or just make the cargo ships smoke after some amount of MG fire.
