It would be nice if people would post their recon reports of any flight sim news here.

there's of course BOB to look for, the Korean war one, and the Kights of the Sky WW1 as well.
FSX has an addon coming out too, I think.

anyway, keep a look out.

Thanks Thrud -

Maybe we'll get an update, now.

this show will have a particular impact on us flight simmers...

in addition to the titles we are aware of there are always surprises at these shows and I hear we could be in for some news on something as yet unrevealed.

and any way - this show is like a cork about to be popped off the bottle -wooohooo!

Yeah please guys if you have any news....?

There were rumours of unannouced titles quite awhile ago. I hope something comes up at E3 as I've heard no news of any combat flight sims being present. Ivan speculated that Oleg had no plans to be there. I guess that wouldn't stop him from sending a represenative.

Read this article and you'll understand why it is highly unlikely that Oleg or anyone from Maddox1C will be at E3....
E3 no longer exists (http://www.gamespot.com/xbox360/action/hailtothechimp/news.html?sid=6173765)

What makes you think we will hear anything about any of these titles from E3?
Has anyone actually heard thad Maddox/ubi will promote Bob there?

Kots could hardly be there, this year's E3 is totally different from last year (400 + companies), this year there will only be 1C Company, Activision, Akella, Atari, Atlus, Disney Interactive Studios, Capcom, Codemasters, Crave Entertainment, Eidos, Electronic Arts, Konami, LucasArts, Majesco, Microsoft, Midway, Namco Bandai Games, NCsoft, Nintendo, Sega, Sony Computer Entertainment, Sony Online Entertainment, Square Enix, Take-Two Interactive, THQ, Ubisoft, Vivendi Games, and Warner Bros.

1C and UBI might be good for BoB, but I don't think that Kots even has a publisher yet??

And if it wasn't for 1C beeing listed I would think that UBI wouldn't be that "promoting" BoB, condisering it beeing a very small title compared to their other Blockbusters, such as Splinter Cell et al.

Before SOW was delayed by the latest IL-2 add-ons, Oleg mentioned that updates would start shortly after E3 in May 2006. With the delay, the next possible start of updates was July this year. Interestingly coinciding with E3 again. Ivan mentioned as far as he knew, Oleg has no plans to visit E3. I'm still hoping for updates this July or August, if not I don't expect the release of SOW until sometime in 2008.

What I want to know is will their be Booth Babes?

07-10-2007, 09:32 AM
Unfortunately there won't, zardozid. Check out Doolittle81's post above. Last year's E3 was the swan song of the "booth babe" era. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Not so much as a sniff yet?

Love the look on those two kidz faces, like all their birthdays have come at once, 'set breasts to stun!!'

Who was it again who said we would start getting regular updates again this month? I remember reading it but can't remember who said it. If they fail to again produce the goods (How hard is it to make screenshots?) then I have serious doubts about the product as a whole. Even freeware addon teams have better "customer" relations.

Like I've said before, the less that is shown, the highier the expectations. Our imaginations are much more capable than Olegs team. I wonder if SoW will live up to it, I kind of doubt it. Can it be too good to show? Or not good enough?

Can anyone say DUKE NUKEM FOR EVER

God I hope not http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif
