I have very sad news : The team behind the Prince of Persia series is currentely working on two games based on two movies made by sony. read the full story here : http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/01/26/news_6117169.html

Which obviously means that we wont be getting a sequel at all at least not until 2007 ... ..... http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

No Problem for me.I had waited 5 years after POP 3D failuer.I am used too.And its a good decision that the game will come late.Atleast it would be free from bugs

This makes me happy. To me PoPWW is the worst of all of the games. It was a decent game, but i'd choose the old 2D games over a buggy, angry, not nearly as creative, yet good story line game(PoPWW).

You know another Ubi. Studio could still create a sequel for POP:WW or work on POP when they're working on the other games

It would be a bit sad if we would have to wait for a long time for a next POP game, but still I think it would be better if Ubi made a really good POP game.

It took quite many years to make SOT, and only one year to make WW, and there's a huge difference between those two games. But still, two years is a long time, and I'm not very patient http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

i'm patient aslong as i'm listening to Linkin Park and Good Charlotte and the band i made last week, LC (Linkin Charlotte), which is a very random band made of just the songs i have of the bands' albums (all of the albums)... LC, LP and GC 4 eva 'n' alwayz!!!! i'll survive until the sequel is released http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

Actually i think the 3D version of PoP were better than WW. But back to the topic, i think that if we have to wait that long, the next installment should not be in relation to SoT and WW. The story should be completely rewritten and have nothing to do with the current storyline. But then again i would feel something missing, something to end SoT and WW. So Ubi make a new PoP, ending the current time theme, and then in maybe 5 years time come up with a new formula a new gameplay, a new Prince of Persia!

It's okay. All studios work on more than one game at a time. Developers have more than one title under their belts, and they divide the house into teams for each project. It's always done this way.
Besides, a good game takes at least 2 years to develop before it's released, especially if you want to have it bug-free.

It's most likely that all new games coming out will be aimed for Next-Gen consoles. That means that there will be more programming (and a longer wait).
It happens.
So don't worry, it's just the evolution of the series - and the entire industry as a whole.

It gives you an excuse, at least, to play your old games. Dust off those old jewel cases, you've got retro classics to try your hand at. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif

The longer the third game takes, the better http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif Longer=better in the game industry, after all.

Guys, please remember that there are multiple dev teams in the Montreal studios so it's possible to have multiple projects on the go all at once http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

At least by 2007 they will have time to think of how they ruined POP:WW

And hopefully, they will make a better game.

It says "Ubisoft's Montreal studios, the team behind Prince of Persia: Warrior Within." Which is correct, the Montreal studios are behind PoPWW but they're also behind other games from Ubisoft and they are all developed at the same time by different teams in the studios themselves. Due to this it's possible for the Montreal studios to continue to have multiple projects on the go at the same time.

I am very glad to hear that and it actually raises our hopes that a new sequel could possibly be in the works and our hopes raise even further since it's coming from someone who actually works with ubisoft ... Thank you Ubirazz ..... this probably means a POP Sequel is In fact being developed ... I just want to live with that thought ..... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

Well, in the beginnig of WW there isn't any sign that shows that it's "A POP Team Game", so I think the guys who made WW aren't the same as the ones who made SOT, so maybe the real POP Team is already busy making POP3, or maybe they will start making it after Jordan Mechner finishes the story of the POP movie and could join them.

Some people have said there glad it will be out later so they can spend longer to stop the bugs, but they arnt taking longer on the game, they are doing other projects first, so they will still spend the same amount of time and release it late, so it isent good http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
