That is a good looking book.
Why do so many of these books have to be so darned expensive?

lots of time going into them I guess.

EE books tend to be on the pricey side anyway but this should be a really good one just as all of Jerry Crandels works are

I edit WW2 aviation books such as this. The reason they are expensive is that the publishers are often small and to reproduce photos and line illustrations are notoriously expensive. On top of that, to print, transport and stock books in warehouses are expensive. Also, books on specialised subjects are very limited in number - we do around 1500 to 3000, but no more.

If they don't sell, the publisher pays for the warehouse space.

And lastly, the US and Amazon demand a HUGE discount on books - anything up to 70 per cent.

Suffice to say, it's a tough market, especially in these financially demanding times.
