If I am not mistaken, when you have pre-picked an AOB for a ship's course, say, some distance ahead of the ship's current position, you are entering in the range (into the TDC) that the ship will be at when it is at your predetermined AOB. Is this correct guys?

AOB - Angle On Bow. It is an angle, not a distance. It's the angle between the target's bow and the position of you as seen by the target.

Yes, Washington, you COULD enter in the range at that time if you have an accurate plot. You could have predetermined both his range, and AOB at that one predetermined bearing.
