Wikipedia:

Oleg (Russian and Ukrainian: Олег, Belarusianor: Алег) is a Russian, Ukrainian, and Belarusian given name. It may be transliterated as "Oleh" from Ukrainian and "Aleh" or "Aleg" from Belarusian. It derives from the Scandinavian Helge (holy, sacred or blessed).

Maddox is a mainly male name in use in English speaking countries derived from a Welsh surname meaning "son of Madoc." Madoc or Madog was a legendary Welsh prince who in Welsh folklore sailed to the New World three hundred years before Christopher Columbus. The name means "fortunate" and is derived from the Welsh word "mad". The name has increased in popularity in the United States, where it was ranked at No. 235 for baby boys born in the United States in 2006, having jumped 350 places since 2003, when it was ranked at No. 533.[1]

A well-known name holder is Maddox Chivan Jolie-Pitt (formally Maddox Chivan Thorton Jolie), who is the adopted son of actors Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Hmmm... sacred son of Madoc, the legendary Welsh prince, huh... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

IIRC, Oleg's parents are English. I remember him saying something along those lines back when he created the ready-room forum board.

He said the English originally migrated from Russia to the Irish Isles.
