Hopefully there will be many from all the different websites attending MAAM's WWII Weekend this June 5th.

So I have this idea to throw at yas all. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Bring lots of film and lets all try to gather in front of the hanger around 1:00 pm on Saturday for a Group Photo. It sure would be great to be able to get us all together for pictures to post on all the websites we visit. Lets make our mugs known to the rest of the ones that can't make it.

If some of you can't make it until Sunday, then we'll have another go at it, same place, same time. In front of the hangar at 1:00 pm. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

See ya there. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I'll be there! I'll be wearing a WW2 weekend light blue T-shirt, and probably some blue jeans, as well as a Russian Infantryman's pilotka, (authentic from 1940's) I should have a large Cardboard sign that says Boosher.

I'll be there on Sunday with my dad, and a few friends, but I'll try to meet you guys there and get in the photo. Shadowsix will be there as well! I'll cya there!

I'll give it a try. I gotta work till about 11. By the time I get home, eat lunch and load the boys in the car, I might not get there in time. Should be there near then though.

Great guys....
wayno7777 if you can't make 1:00 pm don't worry.... we can hold off till we get as many as possible. 1:00 pm was just an idea but can change as needed.

PBNA-Boosher, I'll be wearing the same shirt but as a volunteer at the Main Gate from 7:30 to 11:30 am Friday and Saturday.

I know CrazyIvan will be there and others too, so we'll play it by ear. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I posted a similar thread recently--not sure what happened to it.

Oh well, I'll be there on Sunday taking photos, shooting video, and squinting skywards occasionally. The hangar idea sounds good--I'll be moping around there around 1pm too.

I live close to Reading Regional Airport and MAAM, and have seen a few aircraft come in this week, including the B-17 and B-24. The chills you get when you see and hear these aircraft! http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/heart.gif

Hope to see you there!

Kozhedub: In combat potential, the Yak-3, La-7 and La-9 fighters were indisputably superior to the Bf-109s and Fw-190s. But, as they say, no matter how good the violin may be, much depends on the violinist. I always felt respect for an enemy pilot whose plane I failed to down.

Crazy, you can bet I'll be there on Sunday! I'm arriving at 10 AM sharp if everything goes well and my entourage isn't sluggish. Look for a 17 year old kid with blue jeans, a MAAM light blue T-shirt on, and a Russian Pilotka hat. That'll be me! I'll have my father and two others touring with me. I'll be showing them around, lecturing them about the planes. Hopefully I'll meet you and Shadowsix there. If I don't see you when I arrive, maybe I'll see you at the Hangar at 1:00 PM?

Sounds good. Will be there Saturday. I'll have my boonie hat with a B-29 donor button on it. That and 3 of my boys in tow. I have pics of each of them in Col. Dave Schilling's P-80 cockpit from last year. It's a shame about the P-51C crash...ShadowSix, I live off the 15th st exit of 22 in Allentown. Wow. this the great!

If it's raining tomorrow, will try to get there Sunday early. Fifi is the one I donated to when she was at ABE.
Well, at least we didn't get soaked last year on Sunday, but most of the day was nine-tenths. I took video of a B-17 circleing the airfield from the cockpit of the C-54. But a silver bird on a misty day doesn't make for good detail.

I live only a few miles directly east of MAAM (Laureldale), and yes, they are having B-17 rides, but they might need to be pre-schuduled I'm sure (for a cool $400).

I hope this rain pulls out soon--looks like it's stationary and just raining mainly in eastern PA. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/infopop/emoticons/icon_mad.gif Oh well, it'll keep the field dust down for sure.

I'm not exactly sure what time I'll be there on Sunday. I was planning to go early, now that most people will likely show up tomorrow.

It's too bad the weather didn't clear Sunday as FiFi didn't fly because the ceiling was too low. But she'll be back in 2 years I was told. At least most of the other a/c flew.

Friday was the best day of the weekend. I setup the Canopy at the Main Gate Thursday and got to walk around and see most that was there that day.

Nice pics Shadow.

I believe the A-10 was flying with a P-51D, not a P47 as I saw no P-47 at the show. Unless one snuck in and back out real quick.

The pilots in the P-51 and A-10 are father and son. Dad was in 51, son in A-10 and they live in W.Chester. I was out side the daughter's house Monday morning off Boot Rd. when I heard this familiar sound. Low and behold a P-51 was on climbout from the airport and flew right over the house. Sher was the same P-51 you have posted the picture of at the show. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Saturday or Sunday. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-sad.gif
