Hello chaps,

Things are rapidly coming to a head - still plenty of work to do but the end is in sight. I have yet to tweak the maps of the USAAF/LW pre-D-Day,and BerlinAir maps but they should not take too long.

I am also seriously considering removing the Hungary campaign (Lake Balaton) from the USAAF timeline; the complete lack of historical accuracy in having 8th & 9th AF units suddenly transferred to a completely different area of ops and then back again Jars with me. Instead I will drop NWE map and campaign into he campaign line at the appropriate place.

At some point I will add a seperate 15th AF mini-campaign to deal with the Hungary area (maybe with Med and future Italy maps hmm?) http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif

I will add the Bf109G6/AS to the Normandy campaign, but will not include G-14.
109K4 1-point-wotsit-ATA will be available from Nov '44.

Have included P_38L and Late variants where appropriate, also Mustang III (P_51CM), Tempest V,
Mosquito VI (would be happier to wait for '44 version, tho I know some of you chaps would kill me!), P_47D (the late boosted) and the 25lb Spitfire. Might well add the Beaufighter too, whaddya think? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Much other work including more realistic ground attack flight heights and speeds for Allies (within AI routine restrictions), dispersed ground units (no more neat rows of stuff to bomb and strafe), also much work updating ground objects and adding range restrictions on the 40mm Bofors. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

I am also making efforts to get the skins I use online and downloadable - I still need help in some areas with this (I cant get permissions for some skins I use and wont include them without).

I shall release them in stages to try and keep file size down, probably in country sets.

Given that I have my Driving Theory Test on Friday, and a presentation to give on the 362nd & 354th FGs and their SE England airfields the night before, I'm gonna say a two week release at the earliest but I might pull a couple of all nighters if you chaps are lucky! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

I have my Driving Theory Test on Friday

Ahhhh... Driving Theory??? Wouldn't the answer be "I get in my car so I can get from where I am at to where I want to be."

you must lately add the caveat "...however, I must utilize the vehicle with the best fuel/mileage capability and combine my activities/destinations as much as possible to reduce excess consumption."

atleast - in theory.

Nothing has been mentioned about this at simhq for a while however Jumbo has released Westfront 2.0 Which is a simply stunning campaign.
