if your going into a turn you are resonably sure is going to become a all out dog fight start off with combat flaps and keep your turn in the vert as much as posable. aginst any enemy that you have any resone to fight such as p-51,47,38 ect then slower is better as the FW gets an edge the slower the fight becomes. at very slow speeds you can easly turn inside of a p-51,47

No flaps. Focus on your airspeed rather than how tight you can pull back on the stick...that will help in turns. Still, you shouldn't expect to make more than a 90 degree turn in a FW190 during combat. Whenever possible, use a yo-yo with combination of roll and turn to bring guns to bear on a target.

Get to corner speed, roll 95 degrees left or right and pull back the stick.

Sometimes pressing G helps.

"G" adds fowler-flaps to your 190.

id like to fight spits turning on the 190

the idea is after a heads on turn fast enough t o make a 2nd head on

2 chances shoul be enough

"should be enough"

Speed 500 km/h+ Split S Diagonal(Ball Centered always) +Propitch 30 %+flaps combat shortly before cornerspeed then retract again(Actually never fully deploy combat flaps). Can be improved using yoyo components and sidedrift in turn ,)

Depending on which way you want to turn, just hold the stick full to the left or full to the right. That's how you turn the hardest in the 190.

If you have rudder pedals - The harder your turn the more opposite rudder you'll have to apply to correct for engine torque.

Don't forget this as it'll throw you out of your turn, making you a sitting duck.

It really depends.
If you initially are gaining on enemy ac, you'll blast him away because you have an extra e which you may transfer into more alt if necessary then dive-turn, while your oppo must turn in dust all the time.
If not you can easily disengage because of more energy.
Trouble is if you're inexperienced and allow enemy ac to slowly gain on you which is the worst possible scenario.

So it's easy job no matter what the ac type is.
Only silly duels like spit vs 190 turnfight wont work out in this cases.

Don't do it...it will end in tears. Horizontal turns are out when flying a 190 against a Spitfire. After a head on pass you may be able to have do a overhead yo yo and have another go at him but don't do a flat turn. Unless the Spitfire pilot is being lazy and just isn't turning.

Flaps improve the lift coefficient therefore the improve maximum turn rate. However, they also add drag so you slow down sooner.

The speed I'd recommend for air combat in the Fw actually take away the option of sharp turns, you'd just blackout.

Press 'A' and become immune to stall-spins and energy loss.

Shoot the tail off a 190 and it whips around nicely. [always wanted to respond to a raaaid thread ... saw my chance and had nothing intelligent to say.]

Short answer: You don't

If you insist on doing it anyway, just save everyone a lot of trouble and press Ctrl-E right after the merge.

You can do this on any plane and it works very well on ME109 and FW190.

When flying on the edge of stall, use your rudder more than aerolons, for rolling ect..
The a/c reaction is faster and easier to control.
This will put people off trying to take off your tail.. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Here's what you do: you land, put the Fw190 on a barge, and drive the barge around in circles. You'll still have a better turn-rate and turn-radius...

ive been doing some testing and the 190 turns better than the 109

nice thing is usually less pulling of joystick means better turning becaus plane doesnt skid

In a coordinated turn there is no skid.

109 will excel in dueling more than 190 will http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
