It's obviously a normal FMB object and not the random tree autogenerated type on any map. I found it in grid AT24 on manchuria map in the very small village Kremovo. Could we please have it in FMB too?
Here's a shot of the thing:

You can find that on Okinawa in the south as well. Also in a field near Omaha beach on the Normandy map. I think its just one of the regular trees smushed into the ground...not sure if the FMB lets us do that or not.

I thought that too, it looks very much like the first tree (I think) in the tree list. But it doesn't look like the normal tree just sunk into the ground, it looks like it shrunk in dimension too so I thought it's a modified normal tree http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif . I'm not sure, but that would be fun too, to have a trick to sink objects in the ground...

Edit: ok I found a weird thing about it: I couldn't destroy it with the destruction tool.

so they have started testing foliage after all.

Don't get your hopes up m8. We have been asking for alternative trees and bushes for years.

As Icefire said we can find it also on Normandie map, so it's an old thing, I don't get it. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

It doesn't pay enough I guess.
The general interest in developed and varied terrain has been very small indeed.

I among a few others have tried to propagate for
varied terrain and trees over the years, meaning that the experience of flight is not solely about Flightmodels and it can be made so much richer.

We'll just have to continue to try.

During a 3 year period I sent ideas examples of varied foliage and explained their enhancing effect on terrain to microsoft flight sim.
I liked flying helicopters low.
Well anyway, now they have better trees and have shadows painted below, but I have lost interest in their capabilities now.

On our Burma map the mapmaker has painted shadow under the tree-lines wich makes them look more realistic aswell as it makes small patches of forrests look better.

It surprises me greatly that the benefit of varied foliage weren't obvious to makers of flightsims while they usually have made enormous ammounts of more difficult objects that have less enhancing effect.
And yes I know it's not a landscape sim http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/34.gif as someone kindly has pointed out to me before.

It really is a shame they don't make a copy for the FMB of all the objects they already have modelled, that only the mapmakers can use. There are a few types of bridge, for example, that are placed by mapmakers, but not in the FMB, too. Seems like a no-brainer.
