View Full Version : Capturing In-Game Video

I was on here a couple of weeks ago and saw a video a guy uploaded from one of his patrols.

Anyone out there know how to capture in-game video? I'm assuming you need a 3rd party capture tool.

Try Fraps. The trial version allows you 30 second captures but the file sizes are huge. you can shrink them down with VirtualDub which is Free.

Fraps is awesome.. I use it in FS making movies. You usually dont need more then 5 to 10 seconds if you piece together a movie with a ton of scenes...

Thanks guys! I just got it yesterday. I could see I'm going to develope a real problem here. It's pretty addicting. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

The frame rate indicator is a nice little bonus. Or, I should say, I think it was the program's intent. The video capture is a nice little bonus. I'm thinking of purchasing the full version.

I have played around with it alittle bit. The hard part seems to be compressing the files to a downloadable size while keeping the image clean.

What about the in-game video capture? Shift + F11?
It's a bit bulky, and FPS drops to 0.3, but.. um.. never mind.

I think you meant to say SHIFT + F11 for screen capture. As far as I know, there's no "movie capture".

Yeah, the file sizes are pretty big Snow, I agree. Still nice to have an instant replay.

Ctrl + F11 to take single frame screenshots.
Shift + F11 to start recording video. I don't know how good the results are as the game buggered up when I found the feature.
