I just needed to crow a little. Got home from work early thinking OK payday, I'm heading to Phoenix for AEP.
Checked messages and heard this from the wife.

Jim, mom and I are going to Wal-mart so if you get this call my cell and tell me if you need anything besides new sweat pants and socks. Oh ya, don't go to Comp USA, we just left there and I got you that Aces expansion thingy you been moaning about.Be home by 6:00, love ya

I think I'll keep her..........man, 6:00.....tick ......tock........tick........tock

A keeper indeed. http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif
I remembered after reading your post, that my wife, then girlfriend, got me the original IL2 because she'd seen me getting bored with CFS2 and had noticed that I really liked the demo I had of IL2. (I wasn't planning on buying it at that point because I figured it was too difficult) http://ubbxforums.ubi.com/images/smiley/16x16_smiley-happy.gif

My wife bought mine as well. Once in a while I am reminded of the things I loved about her in the first place.

My wife hasn't bought any sim related presents for me. But I get the next best thing from her - acceptance of them.

Oh yeah. The age is right, but bad location. I live in the southeast and I think you in the southwest. Two of the best years of my life (1976,77) were spent in Albuquerque when my now ex-wlfe completed her education at UNM. Go Lobos?

My wife sets a hot lunch down near the computer when I'm online sometimes. If it happens to be a very good lunch I'm much easier to kill than usual.

These seem to be wise women. Their guys may be spending too much time (how much is that) on the computer, but at least they know where they are.

My wife is a gentle and wise lady, as well. After more than three decades of my various pastimes from sailing to sportscars, she finds my ongoing fascination with flight sims very acceptable, and perhaps even preferable. It seems to be less expensive, and keeps me around the house on weekends and evenings for projects and paperwork. She encourages it by buying WWII books and magazines on holidays and birthdays. It is my children who walk around smiling and shaking their heads.

Yes, these are wise women. And keepers.
