View Full Version : ACB PC version will be Steam Exclusive?

I mean you'll have to play the retail version on Steam too? Because I read that Ubi removes the DRM, and I heard that the game could be Steam exclusive. Is it true?

(Btw, I'll get the Codex Edition of the game, it doesn't matter)

I also hoped so, but i don't think so, ordered the Codex Edition Retail anyways.

I just hope they find a way to implement a good matchmaking, friend system and anti cheat system.

VAC would be good.

But then it would need to be a steam exclusive wich it is not http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Are they removing the DRM for sure? I didn't see Ubi say anywhere they will remove it.

Also I highly doubt you will need Steam to play retail version..

I heard that you'll only need an online activation and then you're free to play without internet connection.

Sorry but I don't really believe anything without proof. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-indifferent.gif

It's not gonna use steam.

I don't have the link for exact proof, but I can tell you where to find it. In the ACB PC post, Mr_Shade confirmed already about the DRM. He said it would require an initial activation for single player and after that it can be played offline.
