View Full Version : Request For Ship Option In QMB

First off: If not more thing were done to enhance this game, I would still be very happy with it http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif

I normally set up quick missions with UQMB, but as we all know, Uberdemon still has quite a bit of work to do. I was just wondering if it would be possible to implement a "ship" target in the game's QMB. With the new maps that were added to QMB, I was surprised that in a PTO sim there wasn't an option to set up a quickie ship attack mission. I know that there are a couple of ships that are of the civillian variety on the Pacific Islands map, and yes, they are fun to sink, but I'd like to see a military ship down there.

Thanks, 1C, and Oleg,
For the most fun I have ever had with all my clothes on http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

It's there, although not very obvious. All you need to know is that 'Airbases' on the Coral Sea map are actually ships...

Also you'll fly above a naval battle on the Crimea map if you don't select a target.

I agree that it should be easier to find in a sim named 'Pacific Fighters'.

Good Lord! Thanks, Plumps http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-happy.gif I suppose that this is the fastest I've ever had a request find its way into the game. Cool!

The only problem with that is:

- AFAIK the Crimea map is not available to stand-alone PF? Also, it's not exactly the same as attacking a carrier, as neither Germans nor Russians have them.

- Coral Sea forces you to fly carrier-based planes. No way to try out the Beaufighter against a formation of ships there.

My idea would be to add a naval battle like on the Crimea map to the Okinawa QMB template. That would fix both problems.
