I'm seriously thinking about getting an ATI X800 Pro video card; but with all the different branded ones out there(with diff. price tags) I don't know which to look for and which to steer clear of...any suggestions?
Also, with a P4 2.6 HT & 1.5 gig RAM,what FPS should I expect with it set to perfect?
Any help would be much appreciated.

The one I have is the sapphire x800 pro. No complaints with it. Though, I do wish it would say x800 pro instead of x800 series in the display settings. But that might be a driver issue I don't know enough about this stuff to say for sure.

On the other hand, if you are planning to do some video capture you want the x800 pro toxic at the very minimum because the pro is not vivo(vid in/vid out) capable, unfortunately for me.

I like the HIS Cards. I run the Excalibur X800XT PE with IceQ II cooling. They're pricey but they run very cool and very quiet and quiet is something I place a premium on.

New ATI cards are all essentially stamped in the same factory. They're all the same. It's a little different with nVidia cards.
