I cant imagine how they thought the average pilot was going to land this bird!

Nice imagination tho http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif I guess it came from the Germans fascination with Helicopters. Didnt they have the first controlable practical helicopter in the world? The Fw61 I beleive it was called.

I guess the Triflugel was a progression of the FW61.

I don´t think so, here some pictures of the FL 282 that served in the mediterranean on german ships as a observer and was used for sub marine hunting. This was the successor of the FL265 what flew allready in may 1939.
