COooool. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

What I find really impressive besides the price is the 39 mph stall speed with flaps and gear. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

That Full-scale MkI at the bottom of the page takes the cake...SCHWEET!

Given the choice though, I'd still take the pony.

That would be the day I would start flying around in something I built in my garage. I get nervous every time I do a brake job I couldn't handle leaving the ground in something I put together like that.

I know some people like these things - but compare them to the real thing just for a minute.

Gee I think they are a crime against nature.

look at this site

They are building modern replicas of me262's. The most interesting stuff is the technical stuff, and the comparison between the Yumo007 engine and the J-85 ( that they are using on the replicas ). Looking on the big differences between the two engines, really shows what great leaps the technology has done in so many years ( and considering the fact that neither J-85 is a modern engine )

So... Where can I buy my 262? Will I still have the engine flaming problem?

02-26-2005, 09:39 PM
I'm with you Boosher http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif that 262 must be a kick in the pants http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/heart.gif but the papa 51 out performs the original so thats got to be a pretty good ride too http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif OH!...I just cant deside, http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif guess I'll have to buy them both http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

As it says in the site the new 262 will be a lot more reliable than the original ... http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif but the price tag is a bit forbidding :P 2.000.000$ LoL. In comparison, how much is the cost of a F-16 jet? Around 10.000.000$ ? ( and its not for sale to civilians :P ) i dont know for sure.
