I can't tell that there's any difference between 4.03 and 4.02 with these birds. The 81C is still one of my favorite a/c, but it is a handful. It still drops a wing easily at low speed and the torque continues to be ridiculously strong. From what I understand, Romanian pilots considered the torque on the 109s they flew to be worse.

Can anyone else tell if 4.03 has changed anything for this a/c series?

I can't comment on changes to these aircraft, but last night i had a ROOKIE IAR80A run me down in the tempest at sea level on the okinawa map.
The only way i could open a gap was to go to WEP.

Granted i was packing the rockets, but does this seem right?

The IAR80/81s were surprisingly fast aircraft.

No-one expected such a weird looking thing to blast along so quickly.
