Great game but all weapon sound files are in mono and not so good like in COD 1 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

I wonder why ? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif

Tis a good game, the action is frantic to say the least. I always play using headphones and after a session of COD2 I take them off, wipe my brow and go 'pheww!', thank God I wasn't there for real...

Yeah its hell to play it with headphones http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

But i still advise everyone to buy an 7.1 speaker system from Creative that have powerful subwoofers together with an Soundblaster Audigy 2 or the new X-FI. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/784.gif

I was unimpressed by COD 1. I mean, it was good for the adventure one time but that's about it.

I'm spoiled. I don't like artificial worlds with virtual walls to the right and left that limit the playing field to being 50 meters wide.

I downloaded the COD 2 demo. Nothing new worth changing my mind.

Waiting patiently for Armed Assault. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif

Oh it has some new things but the problems is that these are not all positive changes. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif

Ive made a sound mod with new sounds for nearly all weapons but its doesnt work correctly.

The game only accepts mono files of rather low quality.

Stereo sound files for the weapons work great for the player but not for weapons used by the AI.

So i had to resample everything to mono. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif
Maybe mono files are essential for the 5 or 7.1 EAX surround to function , dont know.

Another thing is the new spawning. It makes the game unbelievable unfair.

Imagine a small room with space for maybe 10 people.

In COD-2 you can see 200 or even more german soldiers coming out of it if you do not storm into it to activate an trigger that stops spawning. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

Bye bye tactic. Hello Doom-3 style. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif

But multiplayer is great ! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif
