Hmm thats about 20 km/h slower as i tested it in 3.04 for the dora 44 and about 30 km/h slower than dora 45 at sea level . And its about 28 slower than in 4.0 for 44 and 26 slower than dora 45.

On my quick test dora45 was only able to get 606 km/h while dora44 got 608 km/h but was only a quick test in 4.0 .)

Dont pay attention. I got to 607 in Dora 44 with 4.0m

Mine was just a quick test too - I'll test some more - acceleration has definetly improved though.

Antons have better acceleration also.. a5 got 47 seconds from 300 to 500. It used to need 53 seconds.

Due to its size the late L is (like any of the 38s) easy to hit http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

heh cant hit what ya cant turn with, http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif cant turn with what ya cant catch http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/mockface.gif

what I've seen so far the 190 is FAR outclassed now by the late 38. it is MUCH faster than all but the D, turning is not even debatable the 38 dominates, diving wont work either, I had her at 430MPH with little or no loss of elevator response, plus with the effective brakes we dont fear it. you have 1 advantage and only at slower speeds your roll, the now 38 rolls as well if not better over 380 MPH, granted "if" you get on our six we are a big target. BIG IF, and if you dont take us down in the first pass you wont last long http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif the Big bird is now what she was supposed to be from the start

Idiots.

My Me163 got roughly 912km/h on the deck. What now?

Why does the Dora keep getting slower? Can't understand why Oleg can't fix that.

Shouldn't there be quite allot of compression at 430mph with the P38?

The 2 planes I've tried so far is the D9 and Late 38. I think throughout the entire speed range the D9 rolls allot better, even when the 38's rudders kick in. The D9 also has a dive acceleration advantage and one thing that I really noticed is the D9 takes ages to bleed of speed unless you make harsh turns. It keeps its speed very well. I noticed the Late L also mushes quite badly in turns compared to the J although its low speed handling is quite nice.

Both planes are very nice, I think its very much pilot vs pilot as they both have advantages and disadvantages which can be exploited and there peformance is quite similar in other areas like top speed.

historically compression was not an issue below 20K ft, where the air was thicker. compression is not speed related its MACH related.

Did anyone tested this above 20 000 ft?

with the 38's compression starts setting in at .68 MACH, at sea level MACH 1.0 is 761 MPH, at 20k ft it is 707 MPH. so .68 MACH and compression onset for the 38 at 20k is still 481 MPH and the lower you get the higher your MACH becomes and the faster you can go. at sea level you could go 517MPH before you need to worry about compression in the 38
