i rather had 1 extra mission than mp. really the big publishers should stop adding mp to every game. some games just are single-player games. uncharted, assassins creed, gta/rdr, etc.

at least bethesda gets it.

Oh really? And that's why Brotherhood's multiplayer worked so well huh? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif

Get over yourself. Just ebcause YOU don't want something to happen doesn't mean it is universally a bad idea. Multiplayer in Assassin's Creed works. It fits. It ties in with the story even more so in Revelations. And it adds some sort of replay value to the game. Sorry to rain on your parade.

really how many people play the game for the multi-player? less than 1% easily. its a extra. a extra story however would be even better.
it ties with the story? that some people kill the same people over and over and over and over and over? how the hell is that part of a story? the only way it would fit is if this was in hell and people had to kill each other again and again.

the game itself should have enough replay value. and it does mostly.

sorry for my "parade", love the game but a mp in a single-player game is just weak. i dont assassinate people just to assassinate them but for the reasons givin.

You'd be surprised just how many people very much enjoy the MP. Just check the MP forum. It has about 1/3 the activity of this forum, so we can estimate that at least 1/4 of the AC fanbase (not counting overlap, which would only increase that quantity) is very interested in MP.

You want to talk metrics? Close to 10% of the Xbox 360 sales of Brotherhood were "active" MP players. The story ties in to the main plot in that Abstergo is training Templar Agents via training sessions in the Animus. The MP characters were the same ones Ezio encounters in the main game.

And once again, it worked, it worked well and won awards. So just accept Mp is here to stay and move on. Don't bash it because you feel it is cool to do so.

With this being Ubisoft it wouldn't surprise me if they took the glitch affects from a cut scene in game and just didn't cut it properly. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-tongue.gif

Sorry to rain on your parade, but maybe he bashes the MP because he doesn't like it and it's his opinion. Some of you people should learn to respect another's views instead of simply contradicting for the sake of it. I too think the MP will ruin the series in the far future but so far it's a nice addition and one of the most original mp's I've played.

Saying you don't like something is completely different from saying something is not needed. Quite simple really. My point still stands, and as mentioned earlier, is a counter opinion. at least i backed mine up with some credible facts.

Sales of Brotherhood surpassed those of AC2. And the active Multiplayer playerbase that formed a part of those sales was substantial enough. That doesn't sound like a ruined franchise to me. Have a great day.

It's simple. If the multiplayer doesn't work, it hadn't been implemented in Revelations. They do a market research, and know what we like and what doesn't.

How exactly can something that is COMPLETELY OPTIONAL ruin a game?
See, it doesn't take anything from the story mode. The multiplayer is developed by a different Ubisoft studio. No multiplayer = less people working on the game = less content. That's so easy to understand...

a different Ubisoft studio that could be working in more features for single player or improving the ones the game already has, but I'm not against multiplayer as long as don't affect the single player, what I don't think it does, at least not more than release a new game each year...

Personally, I really don't like AC's MP and I don't buy the AC games to play MP. I love single player. AC's MP is more repetitive than AC1 was. It's just the same thing over and over again. I'm entitled to my opinion just like anybody else is entitled to theirs.

Making up false data isn't exactly stating an opinion.

that was the intention yes. Single-player games with mp that feel forced on. unlike almost all fps' and sport games which are more mp games with a sp forced on.

and i did not mean to say none enjoy it. i said they do not BUY IT FOR THE MP but for the SP. It's a extra that some play after they finsih the sp.
of course it does not do any harm but that time and effort could have been put in extra sp which is a better extra.

When a game offers customization on this level I tend to stick with it for awhile and throw money at it constantly. This is my "died and gone to heaven" year. My 2 favorite multiplayer games, AC and Uncharted, are both coming out within weeks of each other with their second attempt at multiplayer and both have a much improved customization system.

My only complaint's is that one, I couldn't help shape the Xbox 360 MP experience because of the beta being a PS3 only beta and two, it took so long to join in matches. When I was finally able to join a room, I had a bit of fun.
