Whilst we are on the subject of Auras and Human v.2.0.........

Buddhist cosmology declares that after the Big Bang...and the Big Crunch...comes another Big Bang..and so on...ad infinitum

Amongst the Buddhas teachings from 2,500 years ago.....by meditation we learn to observe the 'birth and death' or 'arising and passing away' of all compounded phenomena....which happens so fast a normal perception is that a thing doesn't change.....basically atomic physics

The period of time from the birth of the universe to its re-birth is called an Aeon....
the Buddha described it with a simile....imagine there is a mountain 10 miles lon and 10 miles wide and 10 miles high....and once every 100 years a heavenly being came and wiped it all over with a very fine cloth...it would be worn away completely level with the ground...before an Aeon was completed...

asked how many such aeons had gone past..the Buddha said..."take the River ganges....from its source in the Himalayas to where it reaches the sea....how many grains of sand lie between....more than this are the number of aeons which have past"

There is a huge number known in Buddhist cosmology as an 'Asongkaya'....... basically equivalent to the number 1 followed by 140 zeros... also reffered to as 'an incalculable period'

The Buddha perfected himself since the time when he first decided to become a Buddha (after meeting a Buddha then) for 4 Asongkaya plus 100,000 Aeons

Mind-boggling stuff!!

I am only a little confused ... how does this prove that Mi-6 is the moral equivalent of the Gestapo?

You'll have to wait for the Service Pack http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

I like the birth/death/rebirth idea. Makes sense actually...

Service patch, You got to be kidding! If it's more than 5 Asongkaya old it's no longer supported. You'll have to get on the internet and see if some online community has hacked it!

I'm a member of a new Religion called Fictionology... basically anything goes, the more fantastical the truer it is.

I live on cosmos 9 with a bunny rabbit named duke, and the entire Dallas Cowboy cheerleader team.

Good times.

well two aeons is better than two asongkaya...

but still.....actually the world is due for a BIG shake-up next year....

a mosquitoe lives only for a couple of days...but its heart beats in that time roughly equivalent to that of a human over an average lifetime....I've heard it said that all creatures have a similar number of heart beats over an average lifetime...and the earth has a heartbeat...maybe once every few thousand years...which causes global catastrophe with earthquakes and tsunami etc.

Sadly truth is always stranger than fiction, however pleasing that fiction might be...

The smaller the scale, the faster it runs just like CPU's. How many generations of yeast can
I make in bread dough in just 2 hours? And there's moving, animate cells that minute compared
to yeast or blood cells.

and the earth has a heartbeat...maybe once every few thousand years...which causes global catastrophe with earthquakes and tsunami etc.

Haven't been watching the news the last what, 10-30 years? Ever heard of Krakatoa? Those things
happen through known history.

How often between the big space rock hits? 50-60 million years on average? And the last big
hit was 62 million years ago? It hasn't been that many years since satellite coverage and
communications that anyone knows where the all the big storms, any earthquakes or tsunamis
are. But they happen all the way back as far as I knew about such things and another place
has people being wiped out, but you got to read the news or catch it or hear about it or it's
not part of your reality and doesn't need to fit in your world view.

Any explanation that consistently fits can be taken as valid until something else happens or
somebody shows something outside of that explanation is true. The map is not the terrain.
