...killing civilians... again...

Really? Come on!

Please add spoiler tags to title threads when posting details about AC2 - thanks

It's really not that big of a deal. Right before I played the first Creed for the first time I was a little let down by it upon hearing about it, but when I did play (especially my recent, second time through) it didn't bother all that much. Besides, when you beat the game, you can kill anyone you want... well maybe not in AC2. I'm assuming, here.

I like the GTA series not so much anymore cuz it never really evolves but this is a game about an assassin trying to right certain wrongs, why would he go around killing innocent people? doesn't really fit the story...

Ye i just talked to that guy that uploaded those videos onto youtube and he beat the game, he said even after the game is finished you cant kill civilians

amster1985

Apparently someone who beat the game said that when you kill a civilian, you get a warning. If you do it again, you get kicked out of the animus.

I'm glad there is a limit. it would be ******ed if they let you kill everyone, quite an assassin you would be then...

They could make GTA game based on Assassin's Creed.
They could call it Grand Theft Ezio!!!!!! It's where your in Venice, and you can pull people off their gondolas and steal them!!!!

the killing civilians isn't really a problem as they don't really bother you and from what I have seen of AC2 they can be helpful so why would I want to see them off?

at least you can kill a few before losing health

I was under the impression that you could already do that in AC2 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

You can kill a maximun of 3 civs before getting kicked out of the Animus. But of course, there are other ways to kill them without respawning. For example, poison a guard and then throw money around him. Use your imagination! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif

While going on a rampage and killing bucketloads of civillians sounds like fun I dont really think it suits the game style. It would be nice if they gave you the freedom to Slaughter Civillians, But if you did do such a thing there would have to be some sort of penalty (and no not loosing sync or being booted from the Animus), such as it raises your notoriety or civillians start to hate you and have more chance to call a guard, throw stones at you or generally be less helpful.

But what I hated about Assassin's Creed 1 was that I was penalized for killing Drunkards, ******s and The Annoying Poor Woman asking for money. I mean cmon they were just asking to die.

You're not a true assassin though. But I hope at the end it does what they did AC1 and let you kill civis.

Because this is the internet and the internet is not complete without idiots complaining about something, despite how stupid and small it is.

I agree most of the games civilians spoiled half of the assassinations eg the 1st assassination in acre with the doctor, i always hated those ones tht would constantly nudge u into guard and then the guards would attack u for being pushed http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Yeah, it's pretty stupid to be angry about such a useless feature.

Honestly, if you DID kill Civilians, it would conflict with the story and the Creed of the Assassins.

lol, really, all you have to do to the minstrels is practically run them over or tackle them and they run away saying "I'll sing a different song" or something of the sort. Musicians are wimps compared to the crazy people in AC1. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Civilians sometimes just...you know...get in the way...

You don't want to kill them you just do...

Nah seriously you kill a civilian and it says warning Ezio did not kill civilians, then it says you will desynchronize upon the death of another civilian.

It's annoying when people steal your stuff or if those corrupt officials start running away from you.

You feel like it's a civic duty to kill them and throw their body on a gondola.

One thing's nice: it doesn't matter WHO you kill. If you want to make a bit of fun, first punch an unfaithfull man. He'll beg you to forgive him and run off to his wife. You can then kill both of them without any trouble at all (it would be so much more simple to do that before the mission and rob the reward of the wife's pockets).
