My 46 DVD won't start, I can't get it to install. When I try to explore it, it says No disk in drive. I thought maybe I needed directx9 so I downloaded it, but how do I install that? My PF+FB+AEP still works fine, I'm stumped. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks -HH-Quazi, but I didnt have any luck getting it to install, strangely tho, I was able to install 1946 easily on a beat-up old laptop I have had for over 4 years and was dug out of the closet, this laptop even spent a year in dusty Afghanistan, the performance sucks, but atleast I can see whats new. As far as my desktop goes; I have not found the problem.I think its about ready for boat anchor duty, it is almost 4 years old also, I think its time for a new one.

If your FB\AEP\PF runs fine, then 1946 will also. You may only need to replace you DVD player. I mean it would be alot cheaper than buying or building a new one. And with BoB due out real late this year, & possibly not until Spring '08, it may be wise to replace your DVD player (if that is what it takes to get 1946 to read) and save your new computer prospects or ideas until real late this year so that the components used to build or purchased in a pre-built, will be better suited to run BoB.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
