I thought it appropriate to post this now after seeing the recent update pictures.

Three Bf 108's were in service with the RAF at the start of the war.

This from "British Warplanes of WWII":

"Designed as a luxury four seater touring aircraft, two examples orf the Bf 108 were on the British register in September 1939. These along with an example which was used by the German Embassy and was abandoned by it's staff, were impressed for service and were used by No.41 Group, various station flights and No.24 squadron for light communications. Bf 108 DK280 lived an exiting life, suffering a collapsed undercarriage on landing in 1942 and an engine failure in 1944 that led to it's destruction."

From Wikipedia:

"The RAF impounded four Bf 108s on the outbreak of World War II and put into service, where they were designated Messerschmitt Aldon. As a light communications aircraft, it was the fastest type the RAF had at the time, but they caused some confusion by being mistaken for attacking Bf 109s. "

I remember reading somewhere that the RAF loved the aircraft!

So we get another aircraft that can be used by the RAF! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

Interesting find!

Considering the Avro Anson Mk.I was used as a trainer and light bomber in many foreign countries, too, I think Oleg made some great choices with these planes.

So that's what that is! I've seen it in several war-films and not been able to identify what the hell it was, because it wasn't and Me 109 and it wasn't a FW 190.

The 108 flies just like the 109. Watch the video. Just look at these beautiful high banked turns. It is one very high performance civil bird I can tell you. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif

This is also what you might have seen in the movies. Looks very similiar to the 108. It is in the movie "The Great Escape"

Oh yes!
I meant the AI RAF. It will be useful to mission builders: as a static aircraft (trainer and liason), a liason aircraft to escort, as another target for Axis aircraft, adding 'life' to airfields (liason and trainer) etc. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif

And a campaign for this plane in SoW: BoB?

Well, I was already quite bored with all dogfighting...

Nice pictures.

They used these planes in 633 Squadron movie as German fighter.

But they didn't bother to paint them like that.
