For thos who is wondering about silent nameless mod that swoops down and locks all OT topics... allow me to introduce myself http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/crackwhip.gif

Me and other moderators use to give many explanations why threads are being locked... but nothing seems to get thru to some of you guys... so, i dont bother anymore. Neither do other mods and I don???t blame them.

Once again, OT - meaning not IL2 related topics, are not forbidden. Be reasonable, it`s not that hard to do. If you want to discuss any war related or gaming related stuff, please, by all means. Other OT will more likely be locked without any explanation. Sorry, it just the way it goes. I don???t particularly enjoy having half.. or sometimes more OT discussions on the front page of GD then on-topic ones.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Mods have a job to do; I consider it a courtesy that they post anything saying why. Still it's nice to know why. But that being said, this thread explains why. Why not make it sticky under Guidelines or something?<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Well... no. Most forum software enables Mods to split topics, combine them, etc. In this fashion, they could incorporate the first few posts of this thread into an existing thread, and I seem to remember there is one thread for Conduct or such already.<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

Yes. Someone post some pictures of horrific airplane accidents and get this thread locked!! (I think that that's known as self moderation).<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

With the FB series coming to a close the forums have been very calm recently.
Are the mods suffering from patch hysteria withdrawal?
Don't worry mods, it will be back soon after BoB is released!<div class="ev_tpc_signature">

i think there will be fewer OT's when the next addons begins to be evryones own
new planes
taktics
fiktional history
etc. so while we are waiting i think ot's should be allowed. although the most silly ones maybe shuld be locked. but moderaters easy now<div class="ev_tpc_signature">
