Well, I finally got my widescreen hung and setup. All I can say is WOW! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_eek.gif

I waffled between the 24" and the 27" and ultimately decided on the 2707WFP (Dell made me an offer I couldn't refuse at under $900 with free shipping and a discount coupon http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/winky.gif )

Anyway, I'm currently running it at 1600x900 and though that's not its native res, things look absolutely stunning. The increased video realestate is something to take in initially.

Here are a couple crude pics I snapped to show the mounting solution I used. In fully extended format, I can situate my face 1 foot away from the screen (though I obviously don't). Also, the pictures suggest the monitor is mounted above my line-of-sight...it's not.

disclaimer: sorry for the blurry second image...I just snapped them and posted.

That is a nice setup you have there. I was just wondering why you have your throttle on the right and Fighterstick on the left. Does this somehow work better for you this way and if so how? I have never seen them set up this way before and you have gotten the best of my curiosity.

I'm a southpaw and I had a custom set built. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

I still have the modified throttle stocked away as my current setup works well for me (reversed axis and turned upside down) though it's still not as comfortable as the one I had made.

I am a lefty as well, but I guess I just learned to deal with it. I think it is great that you were able to get a left handed set made. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
