Hi all -
The wifey-poo is getting me a new monitor for Christmas - what should I ask for on my Santa list..?

I want a 24" - any suggestions..?
What do I need to look for in terms of specs..?

BTW, I am also getting a new rig which is on the way - equipped with a 8800 GTS G92 512 mb video card...

Thanks in advance,

Vertigo

No question about it...
The dell 2407. I've had mine for about a year and have been very happy with it. It is very well reviewed, google it. I believe they have dropped to the 600 dollar range.

I'm very happy with my Samsung SyncMaster 244T 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor 1920X1200 native resolution. Have had it for about 6 months.

I'd planned on either this one or the Dell 2407 when I designed my new Rig, and decided on the Samsung for the benefit of local face-to-face warranty comfort...just in case. I like the option of standing face-to-face, nose-to-nose, with the original Salesperson and/or the Customer Service Rep and/or the 'repair' technician.

Personally, I'd look at that factor plus compare the current prices. I think the performance and specs of these two will be comparable, nearly identical.

My Rig:
ASUS P5N32-E SLI
Dual core E6700 Cpu
2GB OCZ PC2 8800 (1100Mhz) RAM
BFG 8800GTX Graphics card
Audigy2 ZS
4 Seagate 400GB hard drives in a 0+1 RAID array
Plextor PX-800A
Samsung SyncMaster 244T 24" Widescreen LCD Monitor 1920X1200 native resolution
Windows VISTA 32bit
