I've been away from the game a couple of months, but recently I re-installed '46 on my new machine.

I jumped online on Monday night to get shot down a few times. I've got most of my old settings sorted, but I can't for the life of me remember how to alter the number of chat lines that appear at the top of the screen. I used to have it set to 4 lines. One line strobes so quickly you can't see whats going on.

I know it'll be something ridiculously simple, but could someone remind me please? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blush.gif

Haven't been online in over a year, but don't you just drag it down with the mouse?

Drag the bottom line down/up with the mouse after you've opened the chat window.

Shift+ < (or is it shift+alt? or shift+>?)gives you a whole page of chat under those main lines in transparent small text, but this disappears next time you type a message - Type it when the chat window is open.

ISD II & Mj Setback : I tried to drag it with the mouse but couldn't get it to work. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif I could alter the length across screen of the existing line, but couldn't find a way to add more lines. Probably just me being dumb.

Waldo.Pepper : I'll look for the conf.ini thing tonight, cheers. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/25.gif (I actually did look through conf.ini already, but didn't know what to look for. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif)

conf.ini thing works when you get radio messages from tower or other airplanes... (offline & coop mode).

About online, yes as you already did, you can drag the box horizontally, but also vertically too.

Bring the chat box and then carefully move mouse on the bottom edge of the chatbox and start to drag...
I usually have two lines of chat text displayed and three lines of radio chat displayed.

Thanks DKoor. I shall investigate further, and try not to be such a butterfingers. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif
