As some of you may know (but maybe a lot of you don't) Ubisoft have contacted members of this forum and many forums around the world and given lucky members a chance to come and meet the stars behind Ubi, spend 3 days with a group of great people and play Assassins Creed. Kaxen6 and I were lucky enough to be chosen http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I thought some of you may be interested in what went on, and what this amazing trip had in store for us, if you are, read on.

After a 7 hour plane journey from Wales to Montreal, many sherbet lemons and hours of thinking up last minute questions I finally reached the Montreal Air Port to meet up with AC fans from across the world. I met up with Chris (Ubirazz) and Kimi who introduced me to the group as we darted us off to a luxurious hotel called "Opus" in the centre of the beautiful city of Montreal After meeting the rest of the group we met up and all went for some grub at a local restaurant where we drank, ate and talked about Assassins Creed until the near morning. While some of us ventured back to the Hotel to get some rest for the Ubi studios we were visiting the next day the others stayed out for a drink...or 15 http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

The next day we all met up in the lobby of the hotel (some of us had a good night sleep while others had a good 3 hours :P) and awaited us was the UBI-mobile...nah not really, we had a coach. We pilled on and drove to the Ubisoft studios in full excitement. As we stepped in we immediately saw a lot of activity going on, from employees rushing in and out to a camera crew and set filming in there! As much as we really wanted to take pictures while in there it was strictly against the rules, however I was allowed to take this picture of the Ubisoft Reception Plate (with my awesome photographic skill http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif)

http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/2932/19102007005cx0.jpg

We then met up with our guide as we passed through into the design offices and into the very studio where the first Altair was born http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif The offices were very big, with computers and wires sprawled across the room in every direction. Busy people playing and touching up the game, With art work and concept arts hanging from the roof, we could defiantly see this is where the magic happens.

We then went up through all the different studios and different design rooms where super top secret Ubi creations were being made :P we passed along the way the "Tbi Wall of Fame" This was a wall with all the game art cases of all the titles Ubi had brought to life, ranging from Rayman to PoP from Splinter Cell to King Kong.
After we made our way through the winding maze and corridors that is Ubi, we found ourselves in a very posh conference room, with none other that Jade Raymond and Patrice Desilets sitting at the end http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

After exchanging greetings and hand shakes we all sat down to watch a slideshow showing some development videos and early Assassin's Creed artwork. After we asked our questions, and had them pleasantly answered we followed Patrice to a smaller room with a 360 and a HD TV with AC running on it. He showed off the controls and his skill (and one funny glitch that had Altair thrown through a wall http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif) After we closed our jaws at the demonstration we journeyed to the city of Montreal for a spot of posh lunch. While there I was sitting by Patrice, unfortunately for him it took him ages to eat his food cause we were asking so many questions http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif, After many-a-questions and some green tea, we ventured back to the Ubi studios to have a test drive of Assassins Creed.

After we arrived for the second time to the Ubi Studios, we were brought through the now familiar halls and into a room which held 4 360s and 4 HUGE HD TVs. After a quick demonstration of the controls again we were let loose to roam through the Kingdom and Acre, which were a lot bigger than we expected!

We were given the whole change to play out the missions, and pickpocket all the knifes we want, from saving civilians to killing them. Climbing the highest towers Acre could offer (swan diving off them onto concrete like some of us did...) Capturing flags and interrogating people for information. The fighting system is amazing, along with the graphics and HUD system I only played it for 3 hours and didn't get hardly anything done in what AC has in store. It really will be an amazing gaming experience for us all.

Sadly we had to leave before they pryed me from the screen http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif but giving did not stop there!! To accompany us they gave us all a T-shirt and a signed poster by the team. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
After that we all said our goodbyes with tears in our eyes and memories in our heads we went our separate ways and left the team to go on well disserved holidays http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Here is the Poster:
http://img518.imageshack.us/img518/7836/22102007025aj7.jpg

Id like to thank Chris (UbiRazz) and Kimi once again for this amazing experience. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif And thank you Ubi for this experience.

Now if you have any questions, I guess I have to answer them http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

very nice http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

I have a question!
erm... when you find the high vantage points on the tower's and whatnot, did each place give you a bigger specific view on the map or just the surrounding area of the tower or what? >_>

Fates.Dark.Hand
10-21-2007, 03:18 PM
Well...just the surrounding of the tower. it usually unlocks say...3 side missions. But once you find them all (usualy like 15-20) on each City, you unlock all the map http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Its very addictive to climb!

You signed a form, you are not aloud to talk about the game. This is going to get closed. Before it does though, how did one get chosen?

Fates.Dark.Hand
10-21-2007, 03:30 PM
You do have to climb to hight points, about 15 of them on each City.

I was chosen cause i am cool http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Nah, cause i was lucky :P

Fates.Dark.Hand
10-21-2007, 03:31 PM
I signed a form saying that i wasnt alowed to talk about any other game Ubi are making apart from Assassins Creed, I am also not alowed to talk about other things that Ubi are keeping top seceret thta the tour showed.

10-21-2007, 03:32 PM
Odd, someone else posted about this and he was closed when he talked about the game. I should have been chosen, i mean i was the one who made that totally useless petition. I mean come on. Lol. Im sad now.

yeah guys we may aswell get as many questions in as we can before the mods close it,

Does pretty much every building have a way to climb up it? cause i was sceptical about that

People have been going on about different weapons for assasinations is it or can you only use the switchblade?

Fates.Dark.Hand
10-21-2007, 03:34 PM
He might have got the info from an unreliable source, where this time Ubi has alowed me to share my experence http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

The pick of people was random, i was lucky

Does pretty much every building have a way to climb up it? cause i was sceptical about that: No, you can climb them anyway you can find, climb up it, jump on it, ect.

People have been going on about different weapons for assasinations is it or can you only use the switchblade?: I know for a fact you cannot use the Throwing Daggers But i am certain you can kill your target with a sword/short sword too. i am not [b]100&[b/] sure. But if your assassination fails, Jade did say somthing about attacking with a sword.

Have they been able to resolve the issues regarding to being to able to fit the game on 360 DVD or resolve memory issue with PS3? Does it look as it'll meet the release date?: Well the Ubi sent off a copy of AC to Microsoft and Sony to find bugs with the game and to see if it passes standards, the size problem has been fixed apparently

Are you allowed to answer my other questions about d/l content, and anything we havent seen?:
Downloadable Content, There are no plans for this, they never had plans to bring any out.

I see you've already answered if it was true about losing 1/3 of your life by killing a random civilian.

So I have a few questions of my own, hopefully you're able to answer them.

1. If kill enough innocent people - Will you eventually die from HP-loss?

2. How does the health-regeneration work? Do you eat food? Does it replenish after a minute or two?

3. Last question (Of right now http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif). Do you know what happens if you just keep killing guards? Apparently it's supposed to be impossible to kill THAT many guards because it's supposed to be realistic.
Though if you've mastered all elements of countering and such, and slay say 50 guards, will they keep respawning respawning and respawning? Or is it possible to kill enough to get safely out of the city without being followed?

Sorry about that last question, I see it was a little long. And might not the easiest to answer.

Some range from the bottom of towers that touch the sky to randomly spread throught the Citys

I did not see one glitch while i played, but apparently other players found a few, but cannot comment on these seeing as the game we played was not 100% final.

1: Yes

2: If you wait for a while, your health will re-plenish, but i cannot say anymore about the health bar.

I actually tryed to give them money, but resorted to throwing them out fo the way. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif plus its more fun.

But they are used for a certain Pick Pocketing mission, which...im not sure i can account for...

Nice Question http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I'd say...it was getting chaced by guards and escaping over the rooftops. Pushing guards off the roof is also quite amusing. The fighting system is amazing too so i had great fun fighting. well basicaly it was all awesome, but if i had to pick a high point it would be escaping from around 12 gaurds over the roof top then doing a leap of faith to fool them all.

Man, I've got sooo many other questions - I hope you don't mind me asking some others.

1. I'm not sure if you're allowed to answer a question like this - Though I see no reason to why not.
Is it possible for you to tell us any side-quests? It's supposed to be a lot of them, and we've only heard the normal ones: Help some monks, they'll let you blend in, help a girl getting harassed by the guards - Her husband will help you escape etc.

Are there any others like that? Maybe even help the guards with something and they won't hunt you down after you killed your target?

Can you talk about some of the sidequests?
What kind of stuff did you have to do, how long they took, etc?

Yes you get a horse, you can find them, they are easy to ride

How do you feel about the combat? Is the guards just watching or is it more dynamic?
They usualy take turns in attacking, but it really gets your heart going when you have to counter different attacks from the guards. It is fluid and very fun http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif Some guards even start taunting and chearing for the other guards. then, you can take advantage of this...

Did you get to do any of the storyline ascociated assassinations and if so how many did you get to do in your time?
I was about to Assassinate somone when our time ran out >__> We played the game from about half way through.

Nah i didnt get her phone number, but i did propose to her...unluckily she had to catch a flight..

Even though you've only played for 3 hours, would you say it's one of the best games you've ever played? pretty much yes, when the game fully comes out, it will be my fave http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

How are the controls? Well...they take some time to get used to, but when you have the grip of them, they are very good and easy.

How is the combat? Is it fluid? Easy to learn? Fun?: Awesome, Yes, Kinda, Very much so

Do you realise you are the luckiest guy on earth? Yes http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

I know the game isnt finished but is there anything youd love to change to make the experience better? Umm...not really no, maybe a button to cycle through the weapons while running

The side quests i did were: Interogate a man, Pickpocket a man, collect flags, i am uncertain of any others

I Am unaware of further side-quests

speaking of hiding from the guards what was the most effective technique you used? or did you only get a chance to try out a couple?

does the social steath work well when trying to escape from the guards?

did you ever have to slap a begger if they came close or can you give them things to make them go away?

I might aswell ask a question here.

I dunno if it has been asked yet, as i cant be bothered to go through, so if it has, just say so please.

How did the Targeting reticule on the enemies, person of intrest look? etc etc.

do you not really notice it that much? does it stick out like a sore thumb and ruin the experience? or am i just noticing it too much cos im watching videos and not actually playing?

How does the health work? If this has been asked before, forgive me, I only intensely scoured the first two pages, and glanced at the rest. I understand it uses "bars" or some such thing that naturally regen. How do they regen? How do you lose them? How many "bars" does someone hitting you with say, a sword, take away from you?

Could you use other items in the game? IE: rocks, buckets, other miscellaneous items in stores or what have you?

Attacking Cilivians takes away some health. Falling high distances and getting hit with swords hurts you also.

You first walk if you press down the left analouge gently, then if you press harder you break into a run, then once you press the accelerator trigger you sprint.

The health bar regains health at a very fast rate while you are hidden i think.

You cannot pick up objects from the floor, or weapons as it is not needed.

Yes, they can. I knocked an archer off the roof and then another guard came to try to kill me and I knocked him off too. The guards can do athletics, but not always on the same awesometastic level as Altair.

I dunno about the other 11 who went, but the only time I was indoors was at Masyaf.

And since I'd prefer not to make a new thread for approximately the same thing, here's a write-up of my thoughts on the Secret Assembly:

Kaxen6's thoughts

General Trip-ness and People I Met

Well, my trip was good. I didn't get lost or kidnapped and Montreal wasn't nearly as cold as I thought it would be.

UbiRazz is awesome. He printed out on of my Altair comics and got it signed for me.

Kimi was nice.

Patrice is so chill... I drilled him with questions during lunch... lmao Most memorable lunch conversation ever.

Jade Raymond (inexplicably, I almost never type her first name only...) didn't stay for long because she needed to catch a flight to Europe, so I basically just shook her hand, listened to her presentation (basically the same as the time line at PAX, but now we're on the timeline for the Secret Assembly), and took a picture with her. The pictures will come later because I didn't take the pictures and need them to be sent to me (no, I'm not photoediting pictures of her as we speak... xD)

NEVER tell a customs officer who is too old to comprehend video games that you are playing Assassin's Creed. He literally said "You KILL people??" to me. If I wasn't so tiny, I think I would have been stopped as a terrorist. I stutter a lot when I talk even when I'm not nervous, I must be really suspicious. Both Canada and the US customs really hated my guts...

I'm totally not used to the fact Canada's drinking age is lower. I'm used to people asking me if I want the kids' menu and then on my trip I got asked if I wanted alcohol a lot... @_@ But I didn't want to play Assasin's Creed on my first hangover, so I didn't drink... I didn't even drink Red Bull...

Gameplay Thoughts

I played for 3 or 4 hours. I dunno. They passed by too fast and I almost pretended that I didn't hear the developer helping me play that it was time to go (not too hard since we played with headphones on since it was two or three of us to a room) because I really didn't want to put it down.

It's the same point in the game as the press played with the Montferrat footage. I was allowed to go to Acre or Jerusalem, but not Damascus because Damascus was reserved for a later press review. I began at Masyaf getting briefed by the leader. Then there was a tutorial bit, but I wasn't really listening because I wanted to go ride the horse ASAP.

Having said that, I did my first leap of faith on my way from the fortress and into the little town and made a beeline for the first horse I saw and went riding off into the kingdom. I died three times getting attacked by the Europeans scattered throughout the area. The horse respawned a different color every time I died. There are horses all over the kingdom (though not to a point where there are mysterious herds of saddled up horses) so minus the horse-lover in me making a small whimper in mourning, getting your horse killed isn't too troublesome. I rather like the horse in this game... Altair rides with his heels down... though not quite when his horse is just standing there. Oh Altair, you must be vigilant in your riding even when you aren't moving... end horsemanship ramble...

If you get attacked while riding, there is the possibility that your enemies will knock you off your horse. The horse also seems to kick at your enemies sometimes.

The fighting at first is a bit difficult and my instinctive desire to button-mash leads me nowhere at all. If the timing isn't correct in defensive mode, Altair kind of just does a wrist-wiggling motion with his sword and nothing much happens. When not in defensive mode, you do hit a lot, but they block a lot of it. As far as my experience went, it was much better to time counters correctly and then go on the offensive whenever I saw someone taunt or cower. Once I figured that out, fighting was incredibly fun and the killing animations are deliciously drool-worthy despite the fact that I watched them at least a few times again since I didn't really switch much from using my sword. Maybe it was silly glee in finding out I actually learned a sense of timing. xD

As a testament to my complete and utter lack of a sense of direction and contrary to the fact I have a basic compass telling me the general direction of the cities, I headed for Acre and ended up in Jerusalem!

Not really caring where I left my horse, I pretty much jumped off in front of the entrance where some guards were definitely not letting me in.

I noticed a scholar (basically the Arabic equivalent to a monk as far as blending purposes go) getting harassed, so I helped him out via killing some people. The scholars let me sneak in with them, but since I'm a butt who parks my horse right in front of the entrance, they basically stopped in front of my horse. By the time I jumped onto my horse and moved it out of the way, they went into Jerusalem without me. So I climbed my way into Jerusalem. Climbing is fun and not too hard. It's funny to hear people kind of talking amongst themselves when they see you doing not-so-low profile stuff. "I've never seen someone do that before..."

Once in Jerusalem, I ended up helping basically every damsel in distress I saw or heard so basically every vigilante in town was on my side by the time I had to leave. I've found that I have no skill at keeping a low profile generally caused by my absent-mindedness about putting away my sword.

Hiding was also a skill I horribly failed at. Breaking the line of sight is a bit hard at times, I suppose I hadn't gotten used to it. But boy, despite the fact I've gotten killed so many times (though I didn't hit double digits... whoo... I suck moderately less than I predicted...), I still feel adrenaline when running to get away. The people on the benches and the scholars aren't going to cover for you when you've got twenty guards screaming for your blood... in fact, they run away...

So basically, I got so sidetracked that that I did nearly nothing to to get closer to assassinating what's-his-face (I can't remember names that well...). I did an interrogation. Amusingly, since I had stopped the town crier or whatever you call the guy on some steps, when Altair automatically killed the man, he stabbed the man in the crotch rather than the stomach. How cruel... xD

I also began a mission for information. A lesser assassin who admired my awesometacity (he spoke with a lot more eloquence than me) wanted me to "show him the way" for an interesting story which apparently translated to "I suck, you're awesome, you do it! I'll give you info in return." But there was a stealth requirement and like I said, I fail at stealth so I had to do it again and again... I think I killed at least ten people... Mainly consited of "Whoo! I just killed the two people... *walks straight into a guard*" I'm kind of stupid like that and you can secretly wish doom on my first-born for the powers-that-be allowed an idiot like me to a Secret Assembly and not you... xD

In addition to being the homicidal Good Samaritan, I started collecting flags, climbing to view points, and and killing a few Templars (well, 3 of them exactly. I wasn't really going out of my way to kill them and they wanted to kill me).

Regarding the crowds, they are an interesting obstacle. For the most part, they are not incredibly troublesome. But there are two notable members of the crowd that I really wanted to kill (but didn't due to my desire to figure out doing a low profile correctly) : the beggar woman and the crazy guy.

The beggar lady really gets in your face and whines for money. There's no means to pay her off. Aside from walking until she loses interest or killing her... Patrice said to show your sword so she runs away screaming when I whined to him when he came in (I swear the beggar lady is out to get me!) and the girl who was helping me play suggested turning around quickly, but I couldn't seem to do that right... and running in circles doesn't work...

The crazy guy, a skinny looking guy with no shirt who kind of mumbles to himself, will punch you for no apparent reason. Being crazy, there's nothing in particular that will scare him off. Sometimes he punches me the second I get back up...

Proof of my lack of skills of observation, I hit one of the vigilantes who were assisting my escape...

I didn't hit any glitch that broke the game, though my controller decided to give up life which caused Altair to do a low profile walk while twenty people chased after him brandishing their swords.

Overall, I'm very pleased with Assassin's Creed. Playing it is very fun and very addictive. I didn't want to put it down at all. If you don't play Assassin's Creed, they only excuse I will not grumble about is you being blind, deaf, or somehow without thumbs...

It might be possible to do very little jumping. Minus the leap of faith and sneaking into Jerusalem, I didn't jump very much, but I don't think my short game time could account for the whole game.

You have to use the right trigger and 'A' to jump... and tell Altair which direction to jump... I jumped in place a couple times because I thought he would leap of faith automatically when standing on a viewpoint.

wait im confused about something...

if you dont hold anything down, and move the left analog stick forward all the way...you walk? and holding the right trigger makes you start running? and then holding A causes you to sprint? (free run?)

If you don't hold down the right trigger, you will walk even if you move the left analog stick all the way forward. Right trigger to run and holding down A to free-run/sprint.

They weren't too tricky after an hour or so.

If you're holding down A and the right trigger and going forwards, if Altair hasn't anywhere to keep running, he will jump (or climb if you run to something climb-able)

No need to press the jump button with perfect timing or something like that.

Look at it like a racing game. Your left analog is your steering, right trigger is your acceleration, the further you press it down the faster you will go. And your "A" is your turbo.

I have a few questions...

1) if Altair walks over a dead body does he make it move ala rag doll style or does his legs just go through??

2) What were some of the questions you asked the UBIs ( and can you provide the given answers with them?? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif )

3) To Kaxen... did they like your comics http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

2) Tons during lunch! Enough until there was awkward silence when I couldn't think of anything else to say or ask. Patrice left for a bit and in the meantime Kaxen6, Antimat3r and I tried to think of even more questions. Here's what I remember (warning - paraphrasing ahead):

Q: Does the way you approach assassinations affect the storyline? Being stealthy versus going in swords-a-blazin'?
A: No.

Q: Are upgrades (gloves, boots, weapons) represented visually in the game.
A: Yes, but they are very subtle. The most obvious one is with the dagger upgrades, you'll see Altair carry more and more on his belts.

Q: Can you tell us about Kristen Bell's character and her relationship to Altair.
A: No and no.

Q: Assassin's Creed DS
A: It'll be in 3D and that's all he could say about it.

Q: What gaming systems do you own?
A: 360, PS2, PS3, Wii, DS. He plays mostly 360 though.

Q: What are you playing currently?
A: NHL 08. His current favorite/obsession.

Q: What did you think of this year's e3?
A: It stunk. He enjoyed the whole showmanship of past e3's.

Q: What are your plans after the game is finished and you've taken your vacation? Do you plan on working on the next AC or is there another game floatin around in your head that you want to work on.
A: He's got tons of ideas for games in his head. But has no clue what to do that far down the road. Right now he's just focusing on what's directly ahead of him.

Q: How did you get into the games industry.
A: Long story, but inspiring. He worked in film, doing dirty and boring work. The fact that Ubisoft was opening up a studio in Montreal was big news and Patrice was one of many who wished to work there. He ended up traking down the Ubisoft hiring dude by calling every person by that name in the phone book to present his resume personally. Made a great impression because he got an interview soonafter and the rest is history. He's been with the Montreal studio ever since it started and has seen many people come and go.

That's all I can think of for now...I should really get some sleep.

My question, I am still a bit confused about one thing. Is the game mission based and you free roam within the mission, or is it more like Oblivion, Crackdown, Two Worlds etc where you free roam all the time and pick up missions when you want?

Gbucket
10-22-2007, 04:46 AM
There are set missions (research target X, kill target X, etc) and there are random missions you can do (save this person getting attacked, pickpocket him, etc). Up to you how many of the latter you do!

Oshikai

Kaxen told me herself that because the map was so big (The Kingdom) it was a bit confusing as we were just dropped into the middle of the game.

I picked Acre and ended up in jerusalem mainly because I fell off my horse trying to pick fights with guards (Not recommended).

If I had bothered to look at the signs or know what the HUD was for then I would have gotten it right, however I was just too excited to be playing it..lol

I've just got mentally ******ed navigational skills. I got stuck at like a mountain (you can't make a perfectly straight beeline for the city since real terrain doesn't really work like that obviously) and apparently made a wrong turn trying to get around it.

Is their many combos you can carry out on the horse or is it just swinging the sword from each side of the horse?

There is one that the archers on the roof use but it wasn't playable from what I could see. Who knows what else you can get later on in the game though.

Man i've been waiting for someone to actually play the game for a while now. Good stuff guys, my excitement just shot up like a billion times over more then it was (which was very high).

Question though, if your running and you run at a wall without anything to grab onto, will you run and jump off it or will he just stop on the wall? example is PoP, can you do wall jumps and sword swings while jumping off of a wall while fighting? thanks ^_^

As for the walls, many a time did I run off one and smack the ground as I just missed the ledges to grab onto. I did jump from a wall and sank a blade into a poor guards neck but I didn't do any wall jumps while fighting.....I think anyway. lol

Some pages ago it was said that if you run at a ledge depending on the buttons held he will:

1. Jump off automatically if it's not too high.
2. Stop and wobble if it's too high.

Though I might be confusing what you want, since you mention wall and then jumping off it http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif.

Alright my turn:

In the kingdom do you see; any big mountains, rivers, lakes, busy roads, wagons, any other animal besides horses, forest, deserts, caves, lots of villages, etc...?

Can you change outfits?

How are the controls when riding a horse?

Did you get a good look at the Assassin's Headquaters?

Any combat moves we haven seen?

What would you rate the combat controls out of 10?
Free running controls?
Horse controls?

Did you find any flags? (in one interview Patrice said they do something)

I know you lose 1/3 of your health for killing civillians but what if they start a fight with you?

Did you see any kids in the game?

What was your favorite part?

Anything you would add? take away?

How did they people at ubi seem ( calm/ relaxed- or franticly trying to finish)?

How many daggars did you have to start with?

Sry I know that was a lot of qs. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/typing.gif

That didn't stop me! I found out Thursday evening that I had won on the 1191ad.com website and totally freaked out cuz I didn't have a passport. Spent the rest of that night researching on how to get one as quickly as possible. Luckily, the L.A. Passport Agency is 45 minutes away from where I go to school and I was able to set up an appointment there for the next morning. Drove in L.A. traffic for almost 3 hours till I finally got there to submit my application and was told that my passport would be ready by Monday (two days before we had to leave)! Got back just in time for my afternoon class as well.

1 Yes, some things

2. No

3. Fine, Simple and Easy

4. Not really no

5. Yes many

6. I'd say about 8 for each category

7. Yes i did find some flags there are a total of 420, but we were not informed what they do.

8. They dont start fights.

9.No. Assassins Creed has no children

10. There was too many to explain http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

11. If i had more time to play and explore i'm sure i could find somthing. but after playing for 3 hours it was near perfect http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif But i'm not a huge fans of the controls, but thats just me. i'll grow used to them.

12. Very Very nice, down to earth people. Very Freindly and helpfull, an awesome bunch http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Killing Templars is slightly more difficult that killing a random gaurd. It took more counter-attacks to dispatch one. I killed one in the Kingdom area and didn't even realize he was special until the Ubisoft QA guy (Danny) pointed him out.

I have a REALLY good question...
*ahem*

While in Montreal, did you get any poutine?!

Kaxen6
10-22-2007, 07:53 PM
1. Well, your weapons upgrade so you get new ones. Dunno how many exactly (since I obviously didn't play nearly enough to get equipment).

2. It isn't too easy. Just... standing in the middle of a bunch of blood-thirsty people on your horse is bad for the general well being of your horse... don't ask how I was stupid enough to do that.

But they don't seem to have too much trouble knocking you off or knocking the horse over... or maybe I'm doing something wrong. I never got too good with the mounted combat.

3. The only Templar encounter I specifically remember was one that I saw in the Kingdom. He seemed to be randomly standing next to a box (he was standing like he was on guard or something). He wanted to kill me, so I killed him. Then I went back on my merry way.

The loading screens weren't very long at all... they were short enough such that I barely remember them in comparison to the rest of my gameplay experience.

Patrice said no to sci-fi questions and I didn't see anything ground shattering about the meaning of all the sci-fi...

when your traveling in the kingdom ( from city to city) how long does it take??

is it boring or something is constantly coming up to entertain you??

STUPID QUESTION: can you kill your own horse?? http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif ( not that i want to but hey its always good to know!!)

PS: sorry if these have been asked before!!

I dunno. I wasn't really watching the clock and I also got miserably lost and died three times... so no idea on traveling the kingdom time. Though there is also the option of teleporting to the city instead of riding (at least at the point of the game that we played).

If you run past guards... there's plenty to do...

I didn't try to kill the horse... I killed it way too much without trying...

I'm kinda scared to ask this question as this probably pertains to the story, hence if it does then don't answer just say its part of the story. but i must ask, who is lucy? =)

I didn't have any experiences of people throwing rocks at me. Some of the archers yelled something to the extent "You're not supposed to be up here!" and started shooting me though...

I don't think so.

Your guess is good as mine. Patrice said no to any questions on the futuristic twist and vehemently (on account Patrice barely raises his voice him nearly shouting is a big deal I think) say that he wasn't going to say anything about Kristen Bell's character.
