Well what do you know...there are ONLY 39 squadrons in the entire sim!....That is a very good thing as that means there are a lot of unused names and numbers floating about as surely they would of listed by now if not!

Would be nice of our bi-lingual players to pass the lead link along to other language forums. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

=PF= (Phantom Fighters) were on the original list of many, many squads that Ubi had. I think a few years ago they cleared the list and someone else tried to update it. Ours was never added to the new list after we submitted.

So now there is a third list?

Well, here is our website: http://phantomfighters.nrgservers.net/328th/PFMenu.html

It would be nice to post additional infos in the list. Right now it seems like the "simulated nation" is the criteria, but it would also be nice to have the language or nation of the pilots listed.

Coastie, the "link to the thread you must post in" is in the lead post....This list a temp as the Ubi list has not been updated in "years"...Bearcat is now working on it yet it still may not be for some time...So after pleading with Ubi since 05 to add the 78th, I decided to start a community run list till the Ubi page is fixed/updated being many of the squadrons there are point blank defunct.

Lone Ranger, true, as well as many other things yet much of that can be discovered with a single click onto their link....Get to the site and find it in Martian, well move onto the next if that language doesn't suit you.

If squadrons were arranged by member nationality, language, difficulty settings whatever...It would flood certain portions and leave many others vacant....In this way to players need to learn a little about the group vs. "Ah, speaks french, full switch, bombers, flys german...I'm IN!" which IMLTHO is a poor way to pick a squadron yet many do.

~S~ Bearcat & LEBillfish

We know you've done your job. Now if UBI would get their job done. All would be much happier. It's more or less for the other squads to check here and confirm their squads. The 334th Squadron have been trying to get listed here for over a year before I even started to nag Bearcat about it. At least something is finally getting done.

Kudo's for the hard work Bearcat!! My hats off to ya m8.

That is exactly what I mean, LEBillfish. Most Squads have their websites in English, regardless of the nation the squad is "based" in. So if you click on a website and just check the language e.g. in search for a German squad, for example, you will miss 80% of their sites, cause they are held in English! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

Unfortunately No. 79 wont be on the updated squadrons page... I asked for folks to update their websites for weeks... the updated page has already been submitted.

Oh, sorry about that.

A thought for next time:

I'm the only one of our squadron that hangs out on the UBI-forums regularly, and I stick to General discussion and Paint schemes forum, I have never opened the squadron forum. I only saw LEBillifishs post today. Since most squadrons these days have their own forums, ours may not have been the only one to miss out. Would it be an idea to post a post a thread like this one in General discussion next time there's a wish for a general update of the list?

I have often wondered why the community as a whole hasn't started their own off site directory.

How much time would it take to type up a simple single page (i.e. butt ugly) website and keep it up to date?
