View Full Version : Any way to remove arrows in WWV(no cockpit) with icons on??

Before read.. It's NOT intended for Wonder Woman View debate.

For about 3 years, I've been full real guy except limited icons.

But I fell in love with no cockpit recently and saw another new world for FB.
It's so dynamic, fantastic and..cough..realistic..cough. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif
(thou I feel some need for restriction to super high deflection shooting in MP.. but hey, I'm fed up with Fw-190 deflection shot which needs jedi force. My force power is exhausted with ages! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif )

By the way, I find blue & red arrows at the edge of the screen are useless and disturbing for me since I use TrackIR.
Any config or edit for removing it when I still have floating icons?

Thank you in advance and don't blame me that I love WWV. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/cry.gif

Have you tried experimenting with the mp_dotrange setting? The DOT controls how far away the arrow will appear. It also controls the actual black dot on the screen that represents aircraft at longer ranges. While it is possible to lower the DOT range so that the arrows don't appear, you get some bizzare side effects like aircraft that are invisible until they cross into the RANGE parameter etc etc.

Anyway, without regard to right or wrong because we are all free to enjoy the game how we please http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif, here are the parameters you can change at the console:
(The numbers are in kilometers or 1000 meters...changing these is how the game is customized to your preference)

mp_dotrange DOT 15 TYPE 4 COLOR 0.5 RANGE 2.5 NAME 2.0 ID 2.0

Keep in mind the command is case sensitive...RANGE is entered as RANGE, not range, etc.

Good luck!

Oh, DOT controls range of arrow?
I'm pretty familiar with icon setting but didn't know that so far.
But if it also shorten plane dot range, it's more of a problem, not a solution.
Maybe I gotta find some tapes to mask 4 edges of the screen. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Oleg should add ARROW setting into mp_dotrange command!! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/351.gif
