OK ID this plane.

I kind of have to be really careful about how I phrase this question. OK, here goes.

What is the correct designation of this plane, given to it by its users?

OK schmarties - impress me. (Bye the way - I wouldn't have gotten it.)

Ok, I'm over the initial excitement.

The original design was by Hansi Von Hinterw├┬Ądler, the famed Thuringian Brennerei Meister. During the later years of the war Alt Hansi ran out of fresh fruit for his schnapps operation and had to find a new hobby, otherwise he would have had to spend more time with his wife, Helga.

Hansi sold his brennerei equipment and bought some wrenches. Within a year, 1943 IIRC, he had produced the prototype of the "Hausgemacht". Since his cellar was not very big he only produced 3 in total during the course of the war.

BTW, they were never flyable but kept Hansi away from Helga and thus letting him survive the war. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-wink.gif

A+ Zyzbot. B-71 was what I was looking for.

On 15 April 1937 a contract was signed between the Soviet Union and Czechoslovakia for the purchase of 61 Russian SB-2s and the rights to build another 161 aircraft under license (101 bombers. 60 reconnaissance aircraft). The first aircraft, which the Czechs designated the B.71, were delivered that same month. License production of the B-71 did not begin until autumn 1938, as problems had arisen with deliveries of aluminum from Sweden. By that time German troops had occupied Czechoslovakia. Delivery of the 61 aircraft from Russia was completed prior to the German occupation. Of the 161 B.71's originally planned (the only difference between the Czech version and the original Russian SB-2 was a defensive station beneath the fuselage of the B.71), 111 were actually built. Of this total. 45 aircraft were built by Aero (serials 107-151) and 66 by Avia (152-217). Production ran from mid-1939 until the end of April 1941. Of the 111 license-built B.71's and the 61 Sb-2s purchased from Russia, an indefinite number were sold to Hugaria (possibly 42,24 for certain).
