View Full Version : OT - Trying to track someone down in the US

Ok, this is a weird request, but basically i'm trying to track down an old mate of mine who moved from the UK to Atlanta about 9-10 years ago. From what i've heard, he's now got a kid, and is a nationalised citizen.
So far, i've tried a few internet people finder's, and have found one site which has given me some very close matches, except for one thing, his approx age. I'm tried another site, and that one gave me a totally different age (still not correct though)
if any of the Americans here have a few mins to spare, could you check this site by using your own details, or people you know, to see how accurate it is?? would be very much appreciated.

also, can anyone think of any other ways i might be able to track him down?

i know its a strange thing to ask in an internet forum, but im a bit stumped on this, so any help really is much appreciated

google his name. its astounding what you can find that way.
try a telephone book site for america.
any idea who he might work for ?
do you know him by any internet nick names ? google those too.

i have heard there is also an online drivers license database which might be worth a try.

thanks for the reply
checked google, and had no luck, but like i say, i found a few entries on some internet people finder type sites, but most are $40 or so for the full info. (thats why i wanted someone to check if the free info was correct, before i paid for it!!!

unfortuantely dont know any of his internet information, or even that he has any.

the drivers license one sounds good though, you dont happen to have a link do you?? cant seem to find it on google

You're just lucky it's a man you're looking for. I tried to find a woman once and due to
her being married a couple of times it was tough because of the name changes. Men are a thousand times easier to find than married or divorced women!!

Is he still in Atlanta?

A local white pages might help you if you know is real name.

Also there are a lot of flyers that reside in the metro Atlanta area that might be able to help you.

I just Googled an old friend of mine last week and found his Obituarary 02-26-06 http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-sad.gif

Just tried Zaba and it found him and his address too.

Google will work, but they have to of done something that gets them in the news or a web page, so it seems.

Found a childhood friend once the same way a few years ago. He made in the paper of his town for aggravated assult. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif

Zapa found me aswell as the other 39 in my state sharing the same name. It wouldn't even search the 50 states it said too many of us to list LOL Boy does that make one feel like a clone. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif

thanks for the replies people. you've given me some good idea's

Zaba has been quite useful, and has pointed me in some interesting directions. i even used google map to check some of the address's (was bored) and apparently him and his family may actually be living in an massive warehouse in near a small airport in Kennesaw GA, which i found odd.

anyway, one thing i found also listed him, and his immediate family under the same address (as far as i can remember their names) but his approximate age is totally wrong. To confirm it, it looks like im going to have to pay some money to an online records site.

has anyone had any experiance with sites like that? i'm always a bit apprehensive when it comes to things like this.
