While messing with the mission editor I noticed that there´s a Normandy map avaliable in the game, but I didn´t find any campaign or single mission based on that map. Can anyone help me?

Thanks, I´ll give a try!!

But since the normandy map comes with the game, I´d like to know if there´s a dynamic or scripted campaign on the original game where you can play on that scenario, or if it´s there to us players to create our own missions and campaigns...

Lberado;

Here's some Single Player Missions using the Normandy map from the M4T site:

Bombing Caen

Close Support Normandy Style

Beyond Sword Beach

Tempest Over Normandy

Into the Eagles Nest

Walls of Jericho

There are 20 pages worth of SP missions here and I'm sure you can find some more that are based on the Normandy map.

EDIT:
Oh, campaigns eh? Here are a couple:

Battle of France

Fortress Europe

Hope this helps.

The Normandy and Ardennes maps were built by Ilya 'Luthier' Shevchenko for the "Battle Over Europe" commercial DGen expansion. Starshoy, DGen's creator, wrote the campaigns just as he has written most of the stock dynamic campaigns in the IL-2 FB series. The development team -- loosely supported by 1C:MG -- became officially known as Russian Rocket Group; RRG went on to lead the development of Pacific Fighters, Pe-2, '46 and Sturmoviks Over Manchuria. But let's jump back to their fledgling Battle Over Europe days ...

Ilya had some experience with creating 3D models for IL-2 Sturmovik and organizing third party efforts, so he was able to license 1C's map making tools. He built the western Europe maps and various objects for his BOE venture but the only way to get them into the game was to allow 1C:MG to include them in a free patch for Forgotten Battles. Essentially, everybody who downloaded the patch got the new maps for free; RRG in turn could make its profit by selling the DGen campaigns for them. Which is why the stock game doesn't include any campaigns for the Normandy and Ardennes maps.

Personally, I think BOE should have been included on 1946 -- half the DVD is RRG produced add-ons anyhow. But that's the background story.

Tks for your extensive piece of information, Skycat. I ordered the "BOE" expansion pack two weeks ago, can´t wait to play!
