I just bought this game and was disappointed that I couldn't play it.

The game starts and it asks me to create a profile.

After that it shows me "Loading Content. Please wait" on the screen and nothing happens.

It only shows a black screen with the music playing in the background but doesn't proceed to anything.

Could you please help?

It also happened when I tried to play demo few weeks ago.

I didn't take it seriously. Looks like it's the same problem, but I don't know what causes the problem.

I installed the latest driver from Nvidia.

Here's my spec:

Core i7 920 overclocked @ 3.97GHZ

EVGA X58

EVGA GTX 260 Core 216 SC

Creative Audigy SE(disabled) and Realtek Audio HD (Enabled)

Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit

Thanks.

Try desactivating the anti aliasing in the video settings, maybe it is not the same problem that i had but it is worth a try. I could not see the loading but it was there and by desactivating, i saw the loading and when to hit ESC

Same problem here, here is what I've tried:

Vista 64 bit ultimate
Intel Core 2 Duo e8500 processor
SLI - Nvidia GTX 280OC's

EVGA 750I ftw motherboard.

Installed on D:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X

In game I have tried with AA = off , AA = 2x,4,8x,etc.

I have User Account Control off now in Vista and it still doesn't work.

1st problem: It didn't create shortcuts in Vista or menu items.
2nd problem: When I goto D:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\Tom Clancy's H.A.W.X and run HAWX_dx10.exe and I go to create profile and hit Apply the game crashes.
3rd Problem: If I try to put HAWX.exe in XP SP2 Compatibility mode and run it I can get clear into the versus, ranked, custom match, click search to find servers and then it crashes to desktop.

So basically I can't play Multiplayer at all from I can tell.

I does create a HAWX.exe crash dump file in the install directory. I can't get on UBISoft's support site to register the game so I can log a case either. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

It created a dump file in the game folder also.
I tried disabling anti-alising options but didn't resolve the problem.

How do I submit a "dump" file to UBI?

i would recommend you to make a phone call to them if you can't log in to your account as they may help you better and maybe even give you an email address to send your dump file. I want to know if you have SP1 on your vista.
here is the support site address with phone # : http://www.ubi.com/US/Support/...nationalSupport.aspx (http://www.ubi.com/US/Support/InternationalSupport.aspx)

This worked for me on vista 64

This may have been mentioned but the crash a lot of people are seeing in Vista is due to the fact that HAWX is using a static Saved Games folder instead of a dynamic one. If you changed the disk location of your Saved Games folder using the Vista GUI, this causes the game to crash.

To fix it, go to C:\Users\YourUserNameHere and create a folder called "Saved Games" (no quotes). This fixes your crash problem.

Ubi, now you know what's wrong so fix it. Make it use the dynamic references to the saved games folder in Vista.

This works with Vista 32 bit as well......

Suggest you email Ubisoft Tech support.

Also suggest they compensate you for your 'forward thinking'

Thanks fulcrumer1

This worked a treat - I would never have thought of that, you'd think at the very least if they couldn't find the folder they'd create one. Jeez, how about that for a lack of testing.

This worked for me, thanks a lot for the help. You think something this simple would of been fixed before release.

I checked the path you specified and there was already a Saved Games folder there, complete with sparkly little trophy icon from the Games Explorer. Still can't get into multiplayer. Ok, that's not true. I got in once, early in the single player campaign, realized I was horrificaly outranked and bailed right away. Never got in since.

Ubisoft, please fix HAWX! I love this game!

I have had the same issues with HAWX running in Vista Ultimate 64, what I found is that the game crashes but does not show running under the applications tab in windows task manager but is still running in the processes tab. Closing this process and restarting the application works every time for me...

So unless I've misread your post, you're saying you didn't pay for the game and now it wants a CD key, account ID and a password? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/51.gif http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_mad.gif

Well, to get started you're actually going to have to pay for the game instead of stealing it. After that, you register a new account and you'll have everything you need. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-mad.gif

As far as technical support, I'd bet I've been far more generous than anybody else will be with you around here. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif

I think the problem is 64 Bit because I have 32 Bit Vista and it works except the DX10 version!
