View Full Version : Need help with track

I need help to make a .NTRK out of .TRK...
I've tried it but whenever I press "record" button my track goes out of sync and therefore it shows up incorrectly.

Can someone please load this TRK (http://rapidshare.com/files/114830675/F4F_rox.trk.html) up and record a NTRK from it? You can time accelerate the recording, doesn't matter, as long as the NTRK works http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_cool.gif .

Track is V4.08, features F4F fight in QMB vs A6M's... unfortunately it's on Pacific Island map, and on the map I can never ever record a NTRK out of TRK http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif . Always go out of sync... I presume it has something to do with low FPS on my machine. Don't know... http://www.acompletewasteofspace.com/modules/Forums/images/smiles/gm_shrug.gif

I have done as you asked and you seem to be firing at an aircraft that isn't there on two occasions, other than that the track is normal.
I have two ntracks 800kb and 550 kb I can email them as an attachment if you wish.
cheers, Ibis.

ps. it's almost midnight here, I'll check your answer in the morning.

Many thanks for helping mate!
However since you said that I'm shooting at this air I believe it is out of sync on your machine too http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif ...

I'll PM you http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif .

After studying the matter more carefully I noted that the track is in fact playing right only when I'm not recording i.e. when just re-viewing the track... and something completely different is going on with the track when I try to record it.

When I try to record it I either get shot down by Zeros or just stall into the sea http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/35.gif ; another words - track is not playing correctly.

At this point I'm curios whether this is the case on your machine too?

If you have some time please check it out.

This is indeed, very strange http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif .

DKoor... I had the same thing happen the other day, and I've never had this happen before, I didn't look into it and assumed it was just a querk, now I have to wonder about it.

Thanks for reply http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_smile.gif .
One thing I've noticed is that on Crimea map (QMB) everything always works out good... I record .TRK and then without any probs I can record a .NTRK out of it.

However on Pacific Islands map, re-recorded (.NTRK) never works!
No matter what my video settings or connection settings are, track always fails on this map as soon as I press "record" button http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_frown.gif . What may cause this I don't know... don't have the slightest idea... it seems like engaging "record" button somehow produces desync of the whole track http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_confused.gif .

And this map, Pacific Islands is not the only one with such issues... I found problems like these with other maps as well.

*(I set up my net connection to 56k usually for this type of recording, as I found it to be best regarding space/quality).

I don't know if it's related, but I also had a prob with my normal FOV, went into gmb and I was to close too the instrumen panel and every thing was distorted, tried all my FOV camands, then checked control settings, every thing normal, tried it 4 or 5 times, then did a restore and got it back, no sign of Viruses.

I had just down loaded some MS updates.... I wonder! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/shady.gif

Just tried DKoor Same thing here, you end up dead, when I try to NTRK your trk.

Yout trk was fun to watch though, what version of Zero's are those, I'm tempted to take a hand at 4 of them like that.

Those are A6M2-11's on ace settings (plain A6M2 in game)... aren't as tough as they may seem, or better yet, that little F4F seems tougher than them http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif .
I put 50% fuel in all planes.
So once we begin to dance, F4F probably benefit more from less fuel than Zeros... in some turns I put max elevator trim up http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/59.gif for enhanced turns.
I really like that Pacific Islands map, too bad those recording are garbled on it.
