hey all, was just wondering about the 3rd assassins creed game (which is the 4th game, technically) and where it'd be set. a lot of rumors and first thoughts from Ubisoft were to set it in WW2 times. now i know these are only thoughts, but i don't want ubi to act upon them, so I'm bringing it up now. i mean, if it were to be WW2, it'd only be a TPS shooter and wouldn't be "assassins creed" anymore. whats more was that they were thinking of making the main character a woman, i dunno bout u guys, but that thought bugs me, not to be sexist or anything, it just does. so i was thinking of the game focusing more on the present day Desmond wanting to go and research deeper into his past and learning more about the assassins and what not in Egyptian times. think about it: you could create an amazing story line with that, and weapons would be like the prehistoric versions of the hidden blade and what not. the first models or prototypes of the hidden blade.

There's already a thread on this like how the above poster linked.

Ubisoft already denied the possible setting of WW2, but nothing about a female ancestor of Desmond. They could have the game set in Egypt considering how in AC2, there is a statue of an Egyptian assassin. I personally would like AC3 to set during the French Revolution.
