I'm doing a lot of reading on the Normandy Campaign and it's helpful to have good maps in front of me when I'm reading. I'd really like some coloured 3d maps of the area but can't find any.

The best link I've found so far is:

http://www.dean.usma.edu/history/web03/atlases/ww2%20eu...pe%20war%20index.htm (http://www.dean.usma.edu/history/web03/atlases/ww2%20europe/ww2%20europe%20war%20index.htm)

Can anyone suggest other links for good maps of Normandy?

Do you want period maps? Google Earth springs to mind if you don't mind a modern map.

I've tried the air/sat photo approach but there has been so much development in that area that it's not much help.

So yes, maps of the period, hopefully ones that give a sense of the terrain. A 3d model of the area would be perfect but I haven't found one yet.
