Well, that is a captured Hurri all right...

Not being versed in anime I have no clue about what the rest is.

She is kinda good looking for an animated character though..

English Translation
(Did you know?) I kept running...
(Did you dream?) ...down the stormy highway...
(Did you lie?) ...searching for my interrupted dream...
(Did you know?) ...letting all the bitter illusions...
(Did you dream?) ...and lies...
(Did you lie?) ...just blow off my back.
(No, no, no, my heart)

We're all just lonely hearts in the big city,
children lost in love.
Day by day in the big city,
tears aggravate thoughts that just won't sleep.
(I want your love)

Tonight... Hurricane!
...I want to... Hurricane!
...tell you I love you... (Loving You)
Tonight... Hurricane!
...feel it... Hurricane!
...like you mean it. [1] Touch!
Give me touch!

[Instrumental]

(Did you know?) Darting words...
(Did you dream?) ...that merely placate...
(Did you lie?) ...won't help me share the pain in your heart.
(Did you know?) I want you to tell me:
(Did you dream?) what is it...
(Did you lie?) ...that makes your eyes so gloomy?
(Sin~ Sin~ Singe your heart)

In the big city, our hearts are all torn,
and we're tired of dancing around in the night.
Emptily, day by day in the big city,
we long for even a little warmth.
(I want your love)

Tonight... Hurricane!
...I want to... Hurricane!
...tell you I love you... (Loving You)
Tonight... Hurricane!
...I want you to... Hurricane!
...hold me once more. Touch!
Burning Touch!

[Instrumental]

We're all just lonely hearts in the big city,
children lost in love.
Day by day in the big city,
tears aggravate thoughts that just won't sleep.
(I want your love)

Tonight... Hurricane!
...I want to... Hurricane!
...tell you I love you... (Loving You)
Tonight... Hurricane!
...feel it... Hurricane!
...like you mean it. Touch!
(I want your love)

Tonight... Hurricane! (Tonight... Hurricane!)
...I want to... Hurricane! (...I want to... Hurricane!)
...tell you I love you... (Loving You)
Tonight... Hurricane! (Tonight... Hurricane!)
...I want you to... Hurricane! (...I want you to... Hurricane!)
...hold me once more. Touch!
Burning Touch!

It's a bit of a pun I just couldn't resist. Hee! http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif

Bubblegum Crisis, 2032, The Story of the Knight Sabers

It's an 8 episode OVA that was set in the near future. Based heavily on Blade Runner, but not a copy or remake.

The Knight Sabers are a mercenary group put together by the daughter of the chief research scientist developing combat "boomers" (androids, essentially).

He died while working, and the company he worked for - Genom, produced the realization of his work years later, and many ran amok in Mega Tokyo. The Advanced Police (AD Police) were formed to deal with this, but they weren't fully up to the task, so Sylia used her fathers research to create "Hard Suits" and recruited 3 other women and they take all sorts of mercenary jobs so that they can take down runaway boomers when the AD Police can't manage it. ($20mill per paying job)

http://www.blitzpigs.com/photos/KSabers3.gif

Each of them has a "day job" of course, Sylia (white) runs a chain of lingerie stores, Linna (green) is a dance instructor, Nene (pink/purple) is a dispatcher for the ADP, and Priss (blue) is a singer (her band is called The Replicants. lol) The blond in the photoshopped pics at the top of the thread is Priss in her performance get up. She's really a brunette.

http://www.blitzpigs.com/photos/KSabers1.jpg

Anyway - They had a LOT of music for the series (1 CD for each episode, and 3 Vocal Collection CDs made from those 8 discs), and the opening song of episode 1 was Kon'ya wa Hurricane.

While listening to the music again, this pun popped into my head and I just couldn't resist. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/53.gif

Fans of WW2 aviation and Anime might like the The Cockpit by Leiji Matsumoto.

Its a series of short stories dealing with various aspects of WW2. One story is about a veteran Ta-152 pilot who is tasked with escorting a captured B-17 with an unusual cargo. Another deals with the last days of an Ohka pilot.

The animation style is a little old now, but there is still plenty in it to make it worth tracking down.

Only if it's dubbed..... lol

The only sub I would watch is Yamato. Which is also Matsumoto's art. But without Nishizaki at the helm, Matsumoto isn't quite as good. I mean, I'm a fan of his work and have Odin - Photon Space Sailor Starlight, My Youth In Arcadia, and Galaxy Express 999. But none of those are quite as good as Star Blazers/Yamato.

Actually, it is subbed on the official Western release.

?

Call me crazy, but I actually like to enjoy the entire experience of a movie.

There's a reason we got away from silent movies and into "talkies" - it's more natural and allows for greater communication to the viewer.

If you are watching a sub, you are actually missing out on part of the experience - unless you speak the native language it was made in, fluently. In which case the subtitles just get in the way.

The ONLY things worth suffering through subtitles for are Yamato and Otaku no Video. The former because Star Blazers is the all time bestest Anime ever, and we true fans are so hungry for content that we'll sacrifice for the alternate stories of SB. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_wink.gif And the latter because it's almost a requirement for any die hard fan to see.

But dub vs sub debates are often fun, so I'm ready to go. http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_biggrin.gif
