Hello ,
Is there any way to make all kinds of B-25 flyable ?
I mean using 3D cockpit from B-25 J for other models .
Other B-25 with cannon pod or rockets and unglassed nose .

No, there's no such possibility. But you can fly AI-only planes on external view.

Thanks for the reminder! Been wanting to ask this. How come, there are some types of AI planes flyable but others aren't? I constantly see B-24s, B-17s flyable but not once, have I seen an AI B-25 flyable? Whats up with this? http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/354.gif

Every AI plane can be fyable but ... in external view .
I was asking this about B-25 because they are not very different . It would have been very interesting to use 3D cockpit for every type of B25 !

Man, I have 116.34 ideas what to add to the game, but in the flood of wishlists I've resigned from mentioning them http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-very-happy.gif The great guys won't do every single plane type of the WWII. They can't.

I don't think the cockpit of the B-25 changed much from the -C/D to the -J's. I know a reflector gunsight was added, first in the field by groups who built gunships out of -C/D's, then by North American with the introduction of the -G. I guess the biggest change in the cockpit occured with the -H when the dorsal turret was moved from the rear of the fuselage to the position just aft of the cockpit.

Could not the B-25s be made flyable with minimum effort? We're told that AI FM now = flyable FM, so presumably there would be no work to do on the FMs. All the required crew positions are used on the J-model, assuming the flight-deck layout was the same from version to version.

B-25C. Just leave out the tail & waist gun positions.

B-25H. Solid nose, so leave out the bombardier and nose gun positions.

Repositioning the top turret is the only thing which might require some work, but it would seem to be a quick and efficient way to get 2 new flyables, one of which is unlike anything else in the game.

What else would need to be done?

The cockpit was different in the G & H. There was no co-pilot & the control yoke was removed. That was where the loader was stationed for the big 75. I don't know if the gauges where changed around or not. These planes also used 2 different 75's one lighter than the other I believe. You would also have to change the inside to reflect the the rack for the 75mm shells and charging handles for the 50's on the right in the cockpit. Some of the early '25's had either ventral turret or a flex kit for machine guns there. If they put all the models in, they'd have to boost the armament also. Torpedo, tiny tim, hvars were also used by the '25. It also means we'd get the .30 cal machine guns http://forums.ubi.com/groupee_common/emoticons/icon_rolleyes.gif cause the earlier models had them. They also flew with external racks & had drop tanks & depth charges.
