I understand that late war the centre of the Swastika wasn't painted in (to save paint), but this problem is common to all planes when I select Markings On.

I am using Mat Manager, and then I tried Stab, but no-matter what settings I use, the Swastika appears the same on all planes. Anyone got any ideas why this marking is incorrect?

Examples show the problem:

Thanks, MP.

Whichever version of the swastika you choose in il2-MAT Manager will be applied to all German planes. Select a different swastika (in the manager) that is more appropriated to the timeframe you are playing.

Some one correct me if I'm wrong, but it seems to me that the Swastika was for the nazis, and what your getting in game, is the iron cross of Germany! http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/blink.gif

He refers to the svastika that was officially worn by all LW planes in their tailfins. The German cross was used only in wings and fuselage.

It was not an option: it was a RLM direction, and it's the historically correct display.

The game displays the tail svastika just as a line command, it doesn't display it out-of-the-box because it would be banned in Germany and other countries.

Did a complete fresh install of IL2, Ostfront, BoE, The Last Days and Enjoyr Path 3.2 with skin packs.

Installed Stab 6.3 and Mat Manager upgraded to 2.36

I now have all marking correct and beautifully weathered.

I am once again a 'Happy Bunny!'

Thanks for the replies, cheers, MP.

Thanks Dux... That clears up the old memory a bit, I thought I rememberd it on the side of some aircraft. Old cells will do that. http://forums.ubi.com/images/smilies/16x16_smiley-surprised.gif
